The Largest Facebook VocRehab Group Hits 15,000 Members

VocRehab Facebook Group

The original and largest Facebook group dedicated to veterans interested in VocRehab just hit 15,000 members early this morning.

The group, Disabled Veterans – Chapter 31 VocRehab, is the original and largest group on Facebook dedicated to exposing truths concerning the benefit.

I founded it in 2009 after fielding hundreds of emails from veterans economically injured by VA employees knowing providing false information to veterans about their benefits. Since then, we have built up not only the largest group on the subject but also boast the largest number of disabled veterans turned attorneys who are also members of the group.

That is right. We have lots of members in the group who are attorneys and some are also accredited agents.

But something happened last September that was truly spectacular.

Over the past 10 months, the group has grown by 50 percent!

I will say it a different way. That is 50 percent growth in ten months after the group had already been around for almost 8 years with moderate growth.

Why the sudden growth?

Big And Sudden Changes

A few things happened around that time.

One of our admins quit the group to start her own Facebook group due to concerns about my zealous PRO-VETERAN position where I also take on VA in a direct and assertive manner.

Basically, I take a “scortched earth,” “take no prisoners” approach when my clients and readers run into problems with VA where someone inside VA is lying.

Some folks think this means I am ANTI-VA, which is not accurate. Instead, I am pro-veteran 100%, and if a VA employee gets in the way, I take issue with it in a direct and sudden manner.

Let’s face it, some VA employees actively lie to veterans. I do not like these people and aggressively seek to expose them. My former admin quit because of my views and how openly I shared them in the group.

To each their own, I suppose.

Despite the loss of admin support and sudden competition on Facebook, the group still grew. So what else happened?

In October, I redesigned this website, which highlighted the group more prominently on the homepage and article pages.

Likely, this is the primary reason for the membership increase coupled with me changing the group from being “open” to “closed.”

No Voyeurs Allowed + Website Exposure = Massive Growth.

About DisabledVeterans.org

So, the Facebook group is also the support group on social media for my investigative journalism where I investigate and expose fraud, waste, and abuse committed by federal employees in the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The website is solely funded by readers who purchase the VocRehab Survival Guide I wrote while in law school that helps veterans access the benefits the right way the first time around rather than having to deal with lengthy appeals.

LEARN MORE: VocRehab Survival Guide

Over the past five years, the guide’s advice and instruction has helped thousands of veterans win benefits for law school, medical school, dental school, and countless other expensive training paths.

The proceeds from the book fund my work as a journalist where I exposed scandals like the traumatic brain injury scandal in 2015. Then, through NBC, I exposed that VA was using unqualified doctors to examine veterans with traumatic brain injury.

The report and resultant investigation conducted by AJ Lagoe at NBC exposed a nationwide scandal that affected almost 25,000 veterans. Shameful.

But that investigation could not have happened without reader support of this website and our Facebook group.

Background On VocRehab Facebook Group

The Facebook group was pivotal in exposing this behavior through CBS Evening News with Katie Couric in 2010. Former director Ruth Fanning agreed to be interviewed on the subjected, which also resulted in some reforms regarding training.

To give some context, circa 2010, few if any veteran organizations knew much about how VocRehab worked and even fewer veterans were fully aware of the programs regulations and policies governing the program.

Instead of being armed with the truth, many veterans were left to wonder if the VocRehab counselor they met with was being truthful or if they were getting shortchanged.

My Personal VocRehab Experience

Personally, I was repeatedly short-changed by VocRehab, which is why I created the group. Numerous counselors misled me about private school education and graduate level training. This included counselors telling me VocRehab “won’t pay for law school.” Or, others telling me self-employment services are only for the most severely disabled veterans.

Both claims are totally untrue, but that did not stop highly paid counselors from feeding me a line of BS, and I was not alone.

I fought back and was approved for an undergrad at Northwestern University (high cost) and was later approved for a law degree at the University of Minnesota (high cost). And, even later, VocRehab approved funding to help start up my law firm.

They literally paid to help me help veterans sue the Department of Veterans Affairs. Beautiful, right?

Some Lies VocRehab Still Tells Veterans

Since then, the VocRehab Facebook group has been a pivotal resource for veterans that allows members to share stories and experiences to increase awareness about program benefits and problems. This sharing helps blow through the BS.

Sadly, some of the problems plaguing the program in 2009 still plague the program in 2017. VocRehab counselors still mislead veterans about what the program can do for them. And, they still withhold information about available benefits.

Some counselors even misstate the law or facts to reverse engineer denials. It is a real shame, but our VocRehab Facebook group has persisted and is gradually forcing change one new member at the time.

Anyway, that is my story and the story of our 15,000 member Facebook group taking on VocRehab and helping veterans maximize their benefits.

I am proud of the group the dent it has made in the bureaucracy for the betterment of veterans. We are by no means the largest group on Facebook, but we are the largest in this niche, and that is something special.

    1. @cj, @ANutterVet, i need to try to get some sleep. My eyes are hurting, screens getting blurry.
God Bless you and yours. Take care. Sleep well.

        Goodnight Ben’s World

        Nutter, hit the lights.

      2. @cj @Ex va – – – I forgot to shut those lights out. I crashed out, then woke up for a bit, then crashed out again. I need to regain my sleep. I’ve been getting about 30 to 90 extra minutes sleep a night, and some during the day. My body gets exhaustive. I’ve started a new rule, and that is to not read VA mail until the next day, or to when I am ready to read the VA material. Sounds good. Going to rest until bout 7:15 pm or so. – – – Shutter Nutter.

  2. @Ex va: An instant messenger is a chat app, You install it on your system, we would all have to have the same one, or a client that handles all the different ones we all may be using. Let’s take yahoo messenger as an example, we all have it installed, and then we add each others handles, and it will send out a confirmation, if the person wants to be added, Then you would just click on my handle and start typing to me, and I would type right back. If you wanted to do a group chat, then just invite other people to join in. If your fingers were sore, I think you could also do an actual voice chat as well. And of course you could even go further if you wanted and do a video chat, and other of your friends could join in that as well. It is a great thing to have, they use them for business meetings. etc. even blogs will have an event sometimes and invite members to join in a voice q+a session. Pretty cool once you get use to it all. Very easy learning curve, even a caveman can do it.

    1. @cj, i worry about the security and what i would be downloading. Don’t want to mess up anything on tablet. I will have to research this too.

      1. @Ex va: None of them will mess up your tablet and are secure, I am using linux so the one wants me to intall a program called gstreame.0.10-base. I do not want to install that particular program because it is obsolete.

  3. @ANutterVet: I am ready as well, just need someone to fire the first shot. Ready? get set! Gooooooooo.

    1. @cj, i don’t know sometimes i think a true revolution would change things sometimes i just don’t know. We have had many wars on this soil. It changed things for a while. But look at the corruption now. It is so sophisticated and it is saturated in our government.

      1. @Ex va: A true revolution would always be started by the government. They would take some kind of an action, that the people just wouldn’t put up with, and then all hell would break loose. What happens after? is anybodies guess.

      2. @cj, you are correct. If it started i don’t think anyone could control it. It would be anyone’s guess.

  4. Not impressed, I bet your momma wasn’t impressed either when half your brain dripped down her leg.

  5. @Ex va: There are other chat apps, I will have to do a little research first, I like secure encrypted programs. Just need to find another that is cross platform, There is an outdated program requirement, that I don’t wish to install because my package manager doesn’t like it. Hey Mount up, package manager is not referring to an afge job opening, so fuck off.

  6. @ANutterVet: Mount up, and Not impressed, are the two trolls. How’s you nutter?

  7. @James Clement,@Ex va, @all, the app called Wickr is a cross platform, secure, encrypted chat app. would be easier, and wouldn’t dirty up the blog with non blog related chatter.

    1. @cj, how does this Wickr work? Is it a community chat or can you set it up for small groups?

    2. @cj – – – “wouldn’t dirty up the blog with non blog related chatter.”

Precisely why I mentioned a real chat app. Due to the way this thing seems to thread, were i someone visiting for the first time – – – wanting to learn more about veterans concerns – – – if the non-blog related chatter was the first comments I read – – – I would never come back.

You folks decide what app you want to use, e-mail me what it is – – – and I will grab and install.

Last non-veterans issues comment I am making on Ben’s Blog. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming . . .

      1. Isn’t stuff like Chatango free?
How much are those fancy V bulletin kind of boards?
I live in a town full of snowflakes and enemies of all kinds, with zero support, hurting status.
I would gladly try to do my best to financially support something like this since there is a real need for since all others chats and boards have been censored or shut down like the one that used to be at Military dot com, taken over by censors and such. Then how connect. I’ve thrown my FB and name out here so I don’t care what may come to me. I am over worrying about the fascist and tyrants.

      2. @T,@Ex va,@James Clement,@All: T, there are plenty of instant messengers available, for free. The trick is finding one that is cross platform, that also doesn’t require you to add any programs you DON’T want on your system. As simple as yahoo messenger, or msn. Personally, I only use Arch linux, so those are a no-go for me. I did find one that installed cleanly on my system called “Wire” It’s open source, encrypted, secure, cross platform, developed by the Swiss, go figure, and free. If you don’t want to download it, there is a web version as well. My id for “Wire” is cj59. Like a lot of you, I don’t sleep well at night, or ever for that matter. Having an instant messenger so we can chat, or group chat, will keep “Disabledveterans.org” blog, clean and non blog issue, chatter free. So new visitors won’t have to wade through countless, late night discussions, to read the important stuff.

Again the program is Wire, my id is cj59, and it is completely, cross platform, and FREE. Also free for your apple, or android phone.

      3. Copy that. Will do, it’s a very good start and across the board or platform. Wonder if Ben could do a thread for that and informing other interested proven good parties of it. Will have to do it later when I get pulled back together and can sit longer. Nice out and not a good day otherwise. Thank you!

      1. @All, as far as that chat app Wickr? I will have to research and find another, that particular one is a good one, but it requires me to download another program I don’t wish to install on my system.

      2. @cj, don’t download anything that is going to cause problems. Is there something else we could chat on?

  8. Well there you folks are, posting on the previous nights comments. How are things going with everyone?

    1. @cj, good to see you. I am doing ok. The weather was nice today. Stupid troll attack kinda set me off a little. Lol.

      1. @Ex va: LOL don’t feed the trolls, be carefull around them, you might hurt their delicate lil ego’s.

      2. @cj, your exactly right. It angers me the disrespect and insulting the blog, Ben and other Veterans. I know if i respond that could make it worse too. Because of the attention they want i guess.

      3. @cj, i don’t care about hurting their egos. Lol. They need to understand this isn’t a place to be disrespectful. We have enough of that shit already from the va.

  9. @CJ – – – Still alive. Always a positive sign. PN and Stenosis manageable today, so not too bad. Got some administratium done. Forms on the way to see how it goes.

    1. @James Clement: Still alive is a good thing hahaha. I hope you get your situation resolved as fast as possible.
I have some of my own filing to do with the OIG, and the state of IL. against the Chicago VARO, Hines VA, and the N. Chicago VA. and against a Quack at Hines.

      1. @James Clement: That is for sure, but in my case, this round is for fun, with a little revenge added in.

  10. @CJ – – – Sent a short e-mail. Details to follow in a day or so. Nice artwork. You do have a knack for that.

    1. @James Clement: Why thank you, I prefer, troll work, to art work. Seems to a herd of afge workers trolling instead of taking care of veterans. Typical for union fuck-ups.

      1. @CJ – – – I don’t know. Hard to imagine any AFGE critter working 1 second longer than they have to. The lazy AFGE folks think Bankers hours is an arduous workday, LOL.

  11. @Ex va – – – My 400 sq ft apartment here in Honolulu seems big enough to me. So I should do alright in a properly set up tiny house.

    1. @James Clement,@Ex va: Good evening men, couldn’t sleep, I tried, then had one of those damn attacks. Some kind of lung thing. How’s everyone doing?

      1. @cj, sorry to hear this. I though those attacks were over with.. Damn. Hate that. I am doing ok. The weather is going to be good for a couple of days. Humidity is low and it is going to be in the 70’s.

      2. @Ex va: It sure has been a while since the last attack, this one came with a vengeance, all in the lungs, so has to be a COPD, attack of some sort, very unpleasant. Yes tonight the weather is cool, but over the weekend is going to be terrible in the 90’s.

      3. @cj, i hope you don’t have COPD. That is no good. I didn’t know it was going to get that warm up there. I just looked at the weather for down here it is suppose to be 92 sunday. I hope humidity is low.

      4. @Ex va: yes I have COPD, and am also have pre stage emphysema. I only plan on living long enough to see my battle with the VA, and the DOD come to completion.

      5. @cj, i didn’t know that you were that sick. I hate to hear this. Did you contact an attorney for your copd? There’s some group out of St. Louis if you were in the military and have COPD because of exposure to asbestos in military facilities or ships. Your family is going to want you around for longer than just you fighting this battle. i am really sorry about you having this disease. People are going to miss you here too. They have lung transplants. I know of a woman who has been living with someone else’s lungs for 15 years.

      6. @Ex va: This is something I don’t like to talk about. The COPD, or the emphysema, will not be the culprits that end my life.

    2. @James Clement, if you live in a 400 sq ft. Apartment then a tiny house would be like a luxury to you. You could build it just the way you want it. I believe if you have a well or water source that is all you need to build a house. People did it that way for thousands of years. Now you can use solar. For a few lights and charging up your electronics. Lol.

I would like to see Alaska, it sounds beautiful. I hope to someday go RVing. I have to work on the finances to see how i could do it. I have sorta a plan. Don’t know if i could achieve it, sure going to try.

      1. @Ex va – – – I sure hope you DO get to have your RV adventure, and that it is everything you hope it to be. I do know something of your medical condition.

      2. @James Clement, thank you i hope so too. I just want to get away from some of this crazy weather we have around here. Give my joints a break during winter months and rainy months. See if it is true what the say. Hate to leave family for good. But if i could do the things i did before i may do it permanently.

      3. @Ex @CJ – – – Sorry. I have to go. Hard for me to follow th threading tonight. Comments bouncing all over my screen. Too bad we cannot all hook up on a real chat program. Would be much easier and logical.

  12. @Ex va – – – They are all very courageous. And you are no different. We are all trying to live. Me? Just want to get my bennies from ’94 onward – – – then get off of this island. Got a tiny house/solar/wind/off-grid place to build, and a commie motorcycle and sidecar outfit to buy – – – cause I want my dog to ride with me.

    1. @James Clement, that is good to have plans. I hope you get your bennies and what you want. Are you going for a homestead? Sounds really nice. Off the grid… i wish i could do something like that. I was wanting to build a shed for my mower and stuff. I am going to need some help. Lol. Hands don’t work too good.

      1. @Ex va – – – I have peripheral Neuropathy, so I know about hands not working too well.

When I get my bennies, I am going completely off-island and off-grid. Or may just move to Alaska.

  13. How many of these fools have Ben’s red haired dick stuck in their mouths?

Could you be any more “bro club”?

Any person who banks off charging his fellow “family” of Veterans for a guide that is outdated to when he swindled the VA to pay for his greed, is a crook.

He lies about the chances of getting things approved by the VA and basically only wants everyone to adore his false glory.

Y’all can keep those red hairs in your teeth. I hope his cum tastes every bit of disgusting like the person he is.

    1. @ Mount up, what is this the night of the trolls????? if you cannot talk like a decent human being you need to go… Veterans and their families pay with blood and sometimes with their lives for benefits promised by this country. You have no respect…

You need to re-evaluate your life. This is a disabled Veteran blog. Go away and stay away…We don’t need people who have no decency here on this blog.

      1. @Ex va – – – Well said. You by being Ex va have shown us courage. Mount Up shows naught but cowardice.

      2. @James Clement, thanks for the kind words. Don’t like people being so disrespectful to others. How are you doing? I hope things are getting better for you and your family.

      3. @Ex va – – – Got things in the works behind the scenes. Not out of the woods yet, but may catch a breather soon within a few days. At my age, 20 hour days should be a thing of the past – – – so my broken body tells me. But I will do what I have to. For this marine, lying down and rolling over is NOT an option.

      4. @James Clement, don’t feel very courageous, try to do the best i can. Lol. I feel the people here have the courage just dealing with their challenges with disease, illness and injury. And the challenges with life, just trying to live.

      5. @James Clement, well said. Marines are on a different level. Lol. Good men and women. Heck, i met a lot of good people from all branches of the military, excellent people.

I hope you catch a breather soon too. I hope whatever you need you will get very soon. Sometimes it is just coordination of things to get you to the next step.

      6. @Ex – – – Sorry answering from mail. Internet seems a bit slow tonight. True. Sometimes it just requires coordination and willingness to explore new avenues to ge t you to the next step.

    2. @Mount up: Mount up this.

Our District Attorney Seymore Klearly shall surely handle any comments by you, and his staff will likely post their comments as well. You are a naughty boy or girl according to the new POTUS. We must find a way to help you change. Keep posting bro, you’ll most likely be well greeted by many. Stop by more often. Thanks. – – – Nutter.

  15. Too late for me to use Voc Re but wish this info and support was around for me many moons ago. I joined the group hoping younger vets locally would see it. And I try to urge people to read the information and get here.

I was screwed over bad by the local rehab jokers. Between them and the lefty ‘man/veteran, town hick, non-traditional student, hating college admin to student union, lefty tutors, it was hell. Lucky to get book fees, while the connected people, business owners kids and well to do were getting computers, tutors, and a bunch of other stuff I can’t remember, but I was refused from.

    Congrats Ben!
Live long, very long, and prosper.

  16. VA Launches Physician Ambassador Program: Department partners with volunteer medical professionals to improve care
    06/06/2017 01:02 PM EDT

    VA Launches Physician Ambassador Program
Department partners with volunteer medical professionals to improve care and services for Veterans “Our Veterans deserve the highest quality of care — at all times,” said Dr. Poonam L. Alaigh, VA’s Acting Under Secretary for Health. “The Physician Ambassador Program is one of the many ways we are working to keep and honor our promise to care for Veterans and their families. Working with the health-care teams and staff in our VA facilities, these incredibly skilled and qualified volunteer physicians and clinicians will improve our ability to deliver great care and service.”……..they keep talking this BS. but I never see any results.. DR Poo-nam with a name like that, you know he’s full of it

    1. OLDMARINE,
“volunteer physicians and clinicians” at VA? WTF, OVER!
The definition of “volunteer” means they “work for free”! When the fuck has anyone ever “worked for free” at any VA buildings?
      Not only my lifetime.

    2. @OLDMARINE – – – Just got off the telephone with my good friend, Dr. Disgruntled Veteran. While he assures me that Dr. Pooh-Nam Ah-Lay is indeed qualified to spout such Metastatic Bovine Excrement (MBE), he also tells me that Nurse Poon-Tang Leid-U is a far more satisfying, safe and effective “healer” of veterans.

What the VA could be – – – It does not want to be.
What the VA should be – – – It is incapable of ever being.
What the VA is – – – Is something NO veteran should ever have to endure.

      1. I like the sister of Nurse Poon-Tang Leid-U her name was bed-pan stink -hoo, she had a smell about her though, maybe to much garlic

      2. “https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0m_W-T5rM0″……..its kind of long but i think its worth it

[to fill our pockets]….when it comes to the health of our veterans,” shitcan said….just more BULLSHIT,its a money grab,….I’ts magic

    1. It’s that infamous “Giant Sucking Sound”….call me nuts, but I always liked Ross Perot. 🙂

    2. OLDMARINE,
Remember, in the not to distant past, the DOD admitting to the disappearance of tens of millions of taxpayers monies?
Could it have been through the CERNER company?
The massive corruption, fraud, waste and abuse permeating throughout our government has become epidemic in proportion to how we citizens are being fucked!
I don’t believe the American People will take too much more. Before something gives! And our “elected and appointed officials”, all of them (from state level on up), won’t like the outcome! Maybe they’d like to learn, first hand, about how prisoners are treated in those “privately run prisons!”

      1. And I actually believe it’s NOT a “swamp”, but a very large area we know as “QUICKSAND!” Only, this shit will drag anyone down faster than any swamp!

Not only in Washington D.C., but in every city, county, state, federal agency, and our Congress (both houses)!

      2. I say let the politicians and the banksters pay off the deficit.. must be nice. to be able to spend the people’s money with no recourse..and then they come up with well you voted them in..what a bullshit excuse….its a big club and we ain’t in it..LOL….and this is from the NASA websight….What Does NASA Do?

NASA’s vision: We reach for new heights and reveal the unknown for the benefit of humankind….[name one thing NASA]

To do that, thousands of people have been working around the world — and off of it — for more than 50 years, trying to answer some basic questions….[well there budget of 60 million a day to answer some basic questions.sound like a money pit to me ]……. and What’s out there in space? How do we get there? What will we find? What can we learn there, or learn just by trying to get there, that will make life better here on Earth?…..and now they cant get to the moon anymore,……….and How do we get there?..WTF……the only black hole they found was in their pants pocket..

      3. The VA, NASA, Homeland security, etc, etc. Just massive redistribution of wealth schemes. With all the monies wasted in these agencies combined, if you were to take those wasted funds, and divvy it up between every American family in the country, we would all be wealthy beyond our wildest dreams. I digress, they would rather keep shoveling the dollars and shit, into the incinerator, to cause the biggest smoke screen the world has ever seen.

      4. ABSOLUTELY ……cj…………..and here’s one for namnibor, i know he like’s his science……
“99.9% HOAX EXPOSE WIRE HARNESS TO FAKE SPACE GRAVITY NASA ISS International Scam Station
        FromDeath2Life”
        and this guy calls NASA……..

  18. I received this from: “military.com/Daily News” today. Dated 5 June 2017.
    Titled;
“VA to Adopt Pentagon’s Electronic Health Records System”

    by Amy Bushatz
    Here’s her email address:
    —-“[email protected]”—
    (Remove quotations)

Once y’all have googled “CERNER”, and have read the numerous “controversies” surrounding this company. It might be beneficial to email Amy Bushatz to ask her to further investigate this company. It looks like most of the “controversies” were happening during the Obama Administration.
Millions of taxpayers monies are/were involved.
The DOD has been using CERNER, according to Shulkin on June 5th, for about four years.
Could we to see, due to CERNER being a “worldwide corp.”, possible leaks of personal data and information of veterans?

I do believe we’re in for a rough time!

  19. Good Morning America!!! Good morning VA (sort of a different crowd)!!!

I have to admit sometimes I cry.

Yep. I am a United States Marine, and Oregon Army National Guardsman, inactive. I am a father and pilot, a warrior and a farmhand. I have victimized and I have been a victim. I have laid under a ¾ moon while the life oozed out of me and smiled because the river nearby looked so pretty. Fate has reached out for me noticably on five seperate occasions, some of which the memories of turn my blood to ice when the moment “back then” and the moment “right now” become one and the same to me. I became a man at a very young age. The innocence of youth was not stolen from me – it was murdered. Yet of all these things, not one of them makes me cry.

Let me tell you what makes me cry. A rock group named Boston makes me cry, or rather one of their songs does. I installed a 500 watt subwoofer system to augment my sports cars stereo system because of one single song this group plays. I have no illusions about where I go when I die. When I get to Hell they are gonna insist that I listen to but one song for eternity. Like VA they offer up what seems to be a damn fine option in order to let the Devil Dogs choose their own fate – not even Hell can bend a Marine to its will completely. The choice will be mine. It is called free will and has a scent just like our Constitution. That scent carries with me.

I will choose the one song that brings tears to my eyes, and that song is played by Boston, although I must admit it is played also by the finest bands in the world. I choose “4th of July Reprise” by Boston. I figure if my fate is to end up as a Devil Dog in Hell, then I might as well listen to the reason I was willing to go there.

There is but one way to thwart those who would destroy those things that make America great – there is but one way to make a difference; never stop believing that you can. Never stop believing in freedom, never stop acting to secure it, and never lose faith that nothing else is more important and you are left with being one thing – an American.

    Semper Fi

    1. “”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KebmrZu8nDQ”” Boston’s, “4th of July Reprise” song and short video, it will make you cry.

  20. Good morning all! Today is D-Day and also my mother’s first birthday after my father’s death just a month ago. Always thought it was rather unique to have a mother born on that day and exact year (1944).

Our military leaders and congress critters would serve themselves well by revisiting our history when we actually won wars. Really odd how all that ceased post-WW2 with all the various ‘wars’, ‘conflicts’, ‘peacekeeper missions’, ‘political conflicts’ and the HUGE elephant in the war closet still steaming, the now 16+ years solid war, and still pumping out new Veterans every day.

It would also serve all our leaders and military pointy star types well to read/reread Orwell’s “1984”, because that imaginary war is very real these days but you’d hardly know it as all carry-on as it it’s just “that thing over there”, not here….now which Kardashian got it’s ass stung by a bumble bee while once-Bruce Jenner hits the accelerator to the trainwreck still screeching?
I digress, but it’s of my opinion on looking at history, the era of ‘D-Day, 1944’, Americans were making very real sacrifices right here at home while the war roared on.
Maybe I’m mistaken, but I am not seeing that sacrifice these days.

Maybe we should start sending the corporate war profiteers to battle instead? They are considered people now right?
Rant Out on my mother’s B-Day, June 6, 1944. Gotta love our mothers. But no love for those scheming mothers at the VA and AFGE.

  21. Ditto on congratulations with your Facebook VocRehab site. Lord knows how it must be helping many veterans, say in contrast 35+ years ago when such valuable info wasn’t available to most veterans.

wonderful to see veterans and their families getting steered in the correct direction to get a good chance at enhancing their lives. i believe too there are some at VA/VBA that help too with that, they are overshadowed and their hands tied.

i’ve sent quite a few links from here over my course of hanging around this blog to those who represent me in case they didn’t know about those things and thus can make use of it to help other veterans. glad i stumled onto this blog.

  22. saw on Foxnews the other day Marine Staff Sergeant Johnny Jones expressing his talking points backed up by experience on what core issues are plaguing the VA and what Shulkin needs to concentrate on to help turn those areas around.

once again, newscaster was hung up on the “wait times” versus more of the underlying problems Sergeant Jones brought to light. you know, the problems we all have faced, and continue to face, regardless if we get an appt in a reasonable time frame.

Sergeant Jones, i believe, tried to get to that in his limited allotted time to speak, but that newscaster just seems to stay on that “wait time” issue. i could be mistaken though.

I’ll repeat, it doesn’t matter if a veteran gets an appt on time, generally speaking, if the VA is still going mis-diagnose on purpose, block service connection status even when evidence shows SC, mental health sock-hops/rave-dances many of us have been sent to when trying to get an accurate diagnosis, claims processing fiasco’s, non-adherence to veterans’ Title 38 provisions, that bizarre disruptive committee black hole some of us get tossed in when we advocate for ourselves, etc. this blog knows what I’m trying to state.

Now, President Trump and his adviser, Mr. Kushner, obviously knows and appreciates the problematic obstacles regarding claims for veterans…i write that because he recently signed the,

“Public Safety Officers Benefits Improvement Act” which takes steps to reduce the backlog of families awaiting approval of survivor benefits of public safety officers killed in the line of duty.

Thus he knows about such problems. He did it for the police veterans and thankfully he did so. These guys and gals and their families do a boatload of work to keep American citizens reasonably safe. and in today’s dangerous radical social climate in America, these guys and gals probably deserve double-pay (imho).

President Trump can do that for veterans too, and let’s all remind him about this issue vs the ceaseless “wait time” narrative that gets looped via the media versus any meaningful dialog regarding the underlying corrupt swamp that plagues much of VA/VBA.

It could be Pres Trump or someone in his admin reads @Ben’s blog ?? … I see the President’s plan to privatize the air-traffic control system is underway. And I’ve read that suggestion here many times calling on President Trump to do the same with VA and its corrupted union, or something along those lines.

    go @Ben’s blog!!

  23. Ben,
I wouldn’t go counting on the simple fact that you fired somebody so the problem is gone. Remember, she could appeal your decision to the Facebook Merit Review Board. Your ONLY recourse then would be to provide a cubicle for her to sit in? Who knows, but I wouldn’t go erasing their name off of their executive parking space just yet…

Maybe too you could expand your offerings with a book still in the R&D phase I am writing; “Veterans Guide To VA Restroom Pranks That Get Results” or the subtitle “Scatactics”. Some younger vets simply do not understand the range of First Ammendment expression possible in that environment and more to the point I explore which strategies are most effective and accessible for the vet. The premise of the book is that by expressing yourself creatively when you express yourself then your communication with VA is all that more effective or at least more satisfying.

    What do ya think? Potential?

    1. @Dennis: I know your question was directed at Ben, but still………………………a big HELL YEAH!!!!! Write em up!!
Knowledge is knowledge Dennis, and veterans from all era’s would benefit from such books. I know I would. If your kidding around that is one thing, but seriously, EXCELLENT ideas. Go for it.

    2. @Dennis- “Scatactics”. LMAO!! 🙂

Be careful with that word around VA Witch Dr.’s though, it will look deceptively close to medical term of “Sciatica” to someone fresh from their mud hut and before you know it the VA will be wrapping Veterans in toilet paper and telling them to chew on suppositories until feeling better. And just wait until the VA comes-up with ingenious methods for Veterans to utilize tampons for bloody noses, ears, or stray bullet wounds to fill the hole.

  24. I wasn’t going to comment on this post of Ben’s because I planned on going off the grid for a few days, but I thought I would see what Ben’s post was about and check out a couple comments.

For those commenters bitching and whining about whatever web site Ben sets up and operates, know this:

YOU have the ability to go set up your own damn site if you can do it better. YOU can go write your own VocRehab guide. YOU can go spend your own money to start a web site, pay for the software, pay for the web hosting and spend countless hours trying to manage all.

YOU can do all that while still trying to represent veterans much more competently legally speaking than the worthless fucks that get paid a shitload of money and claim to be a veterans service officer.

I have been there and done that, and burned out after 11 years of taking time away from my family, and paying postage, long distance calls, faxes, travel, hotels, meals, web fees, etc. out of my own pocket to try help veterans, only to CONSTANTLY hear bitching from several who could always do it better…

BUT NEVER ONCE OFFERED TO HELP OR PAY FOR THINGS!

Ben IS NOT stealing uncooked, rubber chicken off my damn plate with what he is doing, he is helping veterans, and that should be good enough.

You have a problem with that? Go piss up a rope!

  25. And to you dumb ass edumacated script writing ass wipes of the legal opiate pain medication distribution network , it was you in all of your faults for prescribing these medications to BENEFICIARY’s (Veterans) in the first place, and was found to over prescribe Controlled Substances even compared to today’s pharmacological prescriptions for treating acute and chronic aliments and pain.

After many decades of managing and reducing pain, and then compounded with PTSD symptoms, the VA Pain Management and Behavioral Health Departments are in dire need in interacting with each other for the best interests of the BENEFICIARY (Veteran).

The VA needs to obtain Auditors that specialize in Federal Agency Management. And, a good disbursement application to monitor each BENEFICIARY (Veteran). There are so many areas in the VA can possibly be used to steal, charge more for, over bid in price for items, or the manipulation to make over priced items to be of real count and cost. This type of control and monitoring is currently not being performed at this time.

The VA can’t handle itself. The VA Web of Distribution of Many Items and Consultancy Costs is quite complex. So complex, that VA Upper Level Management has no idea on the count, quantity, and or costs to determine accurate shipping count to each time a Controlled Substance is moved, delivered, destroyed for being out of date.

The FBI needs to be called into investigate the VA for corruption in and of anything. This is all to big for all of us BENEFICIARY’s (Veterans) on Ben’s blog. After all, this would keep the FBI busy too.

So these two assholes should bend over, turn their heads sideways and give a big cough.

  27. Off topic

The neurosurgeon from the VA called me twice today under the guise of I was supposed to “have more information about myself from Wisconsin for him”.
What he actually did was called and harassed me and after I called him on his bs story he said repeatedly told me I didn’t know what I was talking about. That all the Neuro research I’ve done is bs and I don’t know anything…then he tried to hang up but must have fumbled the phone giving me enough time to say “fuck you”.
These va hacks are relentlessly pushing to try to get me to go off. They really don’t me I guess…
Also, lawyer guy, that said “hire me anytime”
Then refused to give out info. Thanks for nothing.

    1. LP…they don’t like people that educate themselves, it would put them out of their holiness…I research even more when i talk to one of those turds….but watch what he puts in your file about the conversation it will be totally different

      1. I’m trying to get a class action lawsuit going but not even Ben will contact me back to start…same shit over and over. Those who can, dont. Those who know, silent. Fucking American gov and Corp all about…fuck you doctors that don’t heal. Fuck you lawyers that don’t do anything for others. But, especially fuck those who put on the masks of helpers in the community and online that don’t actually Do anyone any good. FUCK YOU.
        Old Marine, your cool.
I just had to get that out

      2. I hear ya…here is the link to the guy that was on here…..”https://www.avvo.com/attorneys/79705-tx-roger-taylor-4553367.html”…….

      3. Thanks.

These neurosurgeons keep ONLY showing me the spinal cord…never the a single view of the nerve roots. No matter how much I try to get them to comment on it or show me the images, they just don’t. You know what that means? THEY ARE FUCKING HIDING IT!
They tell me there is a “minor” problem with a disc. Then tell me there isnt any other reason for me to be in pain or have these symptoms.
HEY, FUCK HEAD! IF THAT SO CALLED MINOR PROBLEM IS THE ONLY DAMN THING YOU CAN FIND, IT’S THE SOURCE OF THE FUCKING PROBLEM!!!

      4. mine was minor also, but that’s all it take’s…I don’t know what you have for insurance, but I would go to a outside doctor and don’t tell them anything about the V.A. and if he can’t see anything, go to another one. sooner or latter you will find someone that knows what the fuck he is looking at

  28. That’s good to hear Ben I start reading your stuff on the va’s a few years ago I see millions wasted good to see good out there

  29. @Ben, I loved this site. I am also too old for rehab. What you’re doing every day is rehab, at least it was for me. I learned more in the past year about my Veterans Affairs than in the past 45 years. Seymore, ANutterVet, Dennis, and some newer members; I am terrible at names. Now, lawyer#2. He chose the right number, just not sure he’s even real. I will always read every post, and comment. I even learned Morse code. Thanks Cj. God Bless the Veterans…

    1. I also think that name is befitting of “Lawyer #2”. Growing-up, the polite words for shit and vomit were #2 and regurgitate, respectively.

  30. Besides reading the articles published by Ben, and then after reading the comments to Ben’s articles, I can’t see why the FBI doesn’t perform a thorough count of Controlled Substances (CS’s) when they (CS’s) are moved from one location to another, or when the Controlled Substances are moved from the VA Pharmacy, then the VA Pharmacy delivers the Controlled Substances to the individual BENEFICIARY (Veteran).

For investigative testing purposes, all that needs to be done is to following one batch on said such medication, then tracks the medications disbursement each time when the Controlled Substance is moved.

There has to be some way to monitor the VA Pharmaceutical Controlled Substance Distribution Network Counts of Controlled Substances (CS’s). From not knowing where the illicit drug theft may be happening in the VA’s Controlled Substance Distribution Network is laid out , or at what point of receiving or delivering of a Controlled Substance (CS) come into question(s). The VA is to big for themselves. No one really knows what is really going on. Its all amuck.

I’ll beat though, just in mentioning a new counting application is now being applied to counting Controlled Substances (CS’s) in the VA Pharmaceutical Networks, will most likely hinder illegal drug theft from
happening in the VA’s Complex Distribution Network of Pharmaceutical Controlled Substances.

In my opinion, as a training and learning protocol, the VA should be investigated because it can’t investigate itself. The VA is a Federal Monster of an Agency, without much accountability.

And, lets not ever forget, that between 20-22 BENEFICIARY’s (Veterans) loose their lives to suicide. Our hearts go out to their love ones, family, and friends. – – – Nutter.

  31. Proud and happy for you Ben. Thank you for the hard work you have done and continue to do. God Bless you and the other Facebook members and site bloggers.

  32. Here’s something from “Wikipedia” on the “CERNER” company “Shithead Shulkin” picked for our healthcare and computer systems.
Check out the names of the three top dogs –
1.) Neal Patterson (Chairman & CEO)
    2.) Cliff Illig (Vice Chairman)
    And #3.)
    Mr.Zane BURKE (President)

    Isn’t person #3 a familiar name?

Once y’all have googled the company,
Look at the “long list of Controversies” attached to it. Most of the controversies occurred during the Obama Administration time period!
Seems “Shithead Shulkin” is, in my opinion, fucking veterans AGAIN!

I wonder who could Zane Burke be related to at VA?

  33. Ben, I appreciate that you allow opinions that aren’t in line with yours to be posted. As for my comment, yes, I believe that one did quit because of the change in the banner, but another quit as well. Afterthought: I’m pretty sure that previous Admin over the past several years looked at the FB pages of all who were requesting to be added to the group, and only added those with something military or VA related on their personal pages. This dramatically slowed down the member growth rate. Regardless, kudos for reaching 15,000!

  34. Oh and Ben,

You are going to need to update the button on the right side of the page that currently says “Join our 10K Facebook Group”.

  35. Yep, Benjamin and all, I have tons to add on this Vocational Rehabilitation topic, your previous news article about the medications, and the doctoring of records. And too, I still need to comment on the VA Optometry topic. Got to get off my phone to type though because of the length of my message.

    1. Until I get going on all this on my laptop, I currently say to you, Benjamin, “I Salute You for the Outstanding Service and Commitment to the Veterans.” I will return later. Your Facebook Voc Rehab is awesome. At least there is one tool in place to assist the veterans with the TRUTH.

  36. Hey, namnibor,
Here’s the article over “Shithead Shulkin’s” company he picked today.
    From: “KMBC 9 NEWS”
    Titled;
“Kansas City – Based CERNER Wins VA Contract”
    Updated: 2:12 PM CDT June 5, 2017
    by KMBC 9 News Staff.

This article will inform you to “click” “…to read the entire news release from the VA.”

  37. i tried to view the voc rehab page. need a facebook account. why use (((facebook)))??? to cut those of us who don’t believe in surveillance out? such a shame.

    1. Sepp,
I do believe the “Facebook page” is for those Vets wanting information on “Voc Rehab”. Where this website is for veterans and nonveterans to “voice our concerns” over the “WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE AND HOW” the Veterans Administration fucks over veterans!

      At least that’s my opinion!

    2. @Sepp Dietrich – – – Like CZ’s that’s my understanding as well.

    3. @Sepp, I hear you loud and clear. Keep in mind setting up a forum that works right for a website like this takes time and development $$ to be done properly. It has been my intent for some time to create a forum here for security purposes. Though, it would be misleading to assume anything we do online is truly secure.

    1. 🙂

      .’.’;!…..;;;…;….;;..;…;;;;…..popping popcorn….:..::…

  38. Hey, namnibor
Guess you watched the videos I put on earlier today.
    Interesting ain’t they?!
If you noticed in video #2 Shulkin has already “picked the computer company” to help (?) VA get medical records tied to the DOD!
Yet, during his “Q & A” after his “speech”, he’s unsure of the cost! $4 billion was mentioned, as was his “…wanting taxpayers…” to know he’s being ‘thrifty’ with our money!

In my opinion, the Air Traffic Controllers, are only the beginning of screwing the AFGE! Maybe President Trump has a surprise for “Little Cox-sucker” in the near future!
I’d truly like to hear about
    “Little Cox-sucker” threatening President Trump!

BTW namnibor, That’s my new name for the AFGE’s President – “Little Cox-sucker”! Do ya like it?

  39. The truth about the page is that anyone who doesn’t agree with everything Ben says hook, line and sinker gets booted. It is much less a venue of help for veterans than a business venture to promote Ben’s guide. Sad really because I was a long time supporter and refused to see what other’s told me but I guess you live and learn.

    1. So Don Miller,

Which VSO do you work for? AMVETS or American Legion.

You might want to watch the comment sections coming up. We will be talking about the bogus number of members each claims and just how much the Gaming industry is making off your, so called, charitable gambling. Also covered will be a lot about the bogus scam you all are running with Savers and other for profit thrift stores. Not only do you all shit on Veterans but you also shit on anyone who is disabled and depending on legitimate charities like Goodwill and Salvation Army for help in education and training and even job placement.

You all are a very sick lot and you will not like what is going to be said.

      Keep on trolling Asshole.

      1. Oh and Don Miller,

We will be discussing the Veteran suicide rate and how it is tied to the VSO greed and so called Charitable Gambling.

      2. @Seymore Klearly , @Don Miller – – – I’d like to hear more about the suicide rate and issue. Is there something that we BENEFICIARY’s (Veterans) been told? Are the VSO’s hiding something? I’d like to know. Why? I don’t know who to trust. And, it seems like many BENEFICIARY’s (Veterans) on Ben’s blog have been stung in one way or another. I’d like to hear more on how the VSO’s works in the best interests of all BENEFICIARY’s (Veterans). I’ve been hearing a lot about VSO’s. I’m in the current mood in knowing how?

      3. Hey, Seymore,
I knew it had to happen.
We’ve been lucky, for a short time, not having to put up with TROLLS.

        Just had to happen today.

Just WHEN President Trump has decided to “privatise the Air Traffic Controllers”. Which has lots of asswipes in the AFGE.
I wonder how they’re gonna feel when the shit rolls downhill towards the Veterans Administration!? “President David Little Cox-sucker” is going to have a cardiac arrest because President Trump won’t put up with his threats!

We all know the VSO’s don’t give a shit about veterans. They’ve proven that time and time again.
Their “core mission” was lost long ago, when they started sucking the hind tit off VA’s money trough!

Here’s a question, could it be “Shithead Shulkin” wants to “partner with the DOD” to throw the scent off of anyone trying to get bad information on VA?

      4. @Crazy Elf – – – I think you may have really hit on something valid here. Partner the VA with the DOD, and shortly thereafter Healthcare Records will be classified as TOP SECRET/NOFORN/LIMDIS/FUCKED UP VETERANS WILL NEVER GET YOUR BENEFITS NOW documents.

Back in the eighties as a Watch Supervisor at the CincPacFlt Command Center, I saw quite a few Admiral’s Golf Scorecards marked SECRET NOFORN. Golf scores as a National Security Issue. Imagine that!

Crappy as some of those Admirals shot – – – They probably should have been classified TOP SECRET/SCI.

    2. This one falls into the “Haters gonna hate” category.

The Facebook group and website DisabledVeterans.org were created well before I wrote the book. And, that was also well before I became a lawyer. I think “reality” and “history” deal with your false allegations about my motives. The facts just do not support your position, Don Miller.

But, let’s say, for the sake of argument, that I did create these for a profit motive within the past year instead of 2009. And, let’s say a whole host of veterans bought my guide in the past year, like they did, and in turn they were approved for law school or medical school – – Meaning, they would not be in debt up to $200,000 as a result of buying a CHEAP $19.97 guide.

GOOD! I am glad they bought the guide, got their benefits, and funded my investigations into the Department of Veterans Affairs. No one out there does what I do in the way I do it. There is no other journalist turned attorney who has dedicated his practice and writing to expose VA fraud, waste, and abuse, while also helping veterans get up to $200,000 in benefits.

And yet, you have a problem with that? Says a lot about you. Instead, you would rather veterans not have these resources and instead be relegated to the Veteran Ghetto of poor healthcare and poor legal services.

Last, for others reading this who are unfamiliar with what I do, as you can see from this thread, I do not delete people’s comments for merely disagreeing with me. Now, if you break the law or make threats or racist remarks, then the comment gets deleted.

Again, for the sake of argument, even if I did delete all the Haters, who cares? It is my website. We live in a capitalist nation, a Constitutional Republic last I checked, with property rights. I should be able to do what I want with my property, including intellectual property.

Here, I like to debate the Haters like you, Don Miller, because it’s fun and it sharpens my skill set each time.

      1. Paying twenty dollars to learn how to get $200,000 in education benefits is a no brainer for me.

    3. @Don Miller – – – “The truth about the page is that anyone who doesn’t agree with everything Ben says hook, line and sinker gets booted. It is much less a venue of help for veterans than a business venture to promote Ben’s guide”

      B – U – L – L – S – H – I – T !!!

I do not Facebook anymore. Recently dropped off it due to it becoming too time intrusive, and the fact that there is so much moronic vitriol. Also, after seeing the SAME EXACT memes posted by a few hundred “Facebook Friends” and Former Shipmates – – – I decided to seek Intelligent Life elsewhere.

I had membership to Ben’s Voc Rehab group as well. As I am past my Voc Rehab myself (I got a real fuck story) I decided to use my membership to just “sandbag” and read as many questions and comments as I possibly could.

What this high-school dropout read and observed was vastly different than what you described. I saw people who really jumped in and helped others – – – when someone had a question, you know – – – because some TBI veterans just do not have the reading comprehension they used to have. Or, like me, I have GOOD days and BAD days. I am not afforded the luxury of scheduling what kind of day it is going to be prior to it occurring.

On a GOOD day, I retain my nearly eidetic memory. On a BAD day, I sometimes cannot remember the name of my best friend in life. I have NEVER been a litigious person in my life. But, upon occasion, I have had to speak with attorney’s.

Ben is the first one that I have ever observed to be honest. ALWAYS. Had young Benjamin been around with his treasure trove of knowledge when I was receiving my “screwed up and screwed over Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Navy on October 29, 1993 – – – my entire life since that fateful day would have turned out quite differently for the better. Zero doubt.

I served 17 Years 9 Months 6 Days active-duty service honorably. Medically discharged on my retirement enlistment. I have zero retirement benefits, and am currently indebted to repay my Disability Severance Pay back to the U.S. Government.

I have been chronically unemployed since that time, and the Honolulu VA has done NOTHING substantive to help me.

I have received more help PRO BONO from “Ben’s Boys and Girls” on this blog than the VA ever gave me.

So, take your “Ben is out for himself” argument, and go enjoy a sand suppository. You have earned it.

      1. “[…So, take your “Ben is out for himself” argument, and go enjoy a sand suppository. You have earned it.]”

        LMAO! 🙂

      2. @Namnibor – – – See what I mean about the Pro Bono help? Even extends into my use of language. When I first joined you folks late September – early October 2016, I would have just told Don Miller to “Go pack sand up his ass”. Not anymore. And I have learned a few “first amendment practical tactics” that will be interesting to use in dealing with my VA folks.

Hope this finds you, and your Cat doing well.

  40. Warning: The swamp gas is particularly vile and of course volatile and explosive at the moment. Cabbage?

  41. Can you be any more narcissistic?!! Lmao. Yes Veterans who don’t have money! I would love to charge you money to provide you things you can find in the regulations. I don’t give a shit what you say you do.. you are a crook. Make the VA great again? Your motto.

    1. Asshole: Ever stop to think that not every Veteran has the faculties physically or mentally to scour the VA regs. and Benjamin is helping them, and not a high on the hog corporate attorney rate either?

Oh, pretty rich for someone named “Lawyer 2” to be pointing the narcissistic stick and calling another attorney a ‘crook’. Rich shit there.

      1. @Namnibor – – – I’m sorry man, as soon as I read in start off reply saying, “asshole’- I knew something was up. Oh, yeah, I see it now, that shit is a flying. In an argument, the attorney has to win, or eat face. Go figures.

@Lawyer 2 – – – I haven’t meant a VSO yet who could without reserve, that would solidly stand by a BENEFICIARY (Veteran). BENEFICIARY’s (Veterans) shouldn’t have to pay any monies to get help to obtain VA Benefits. Veterans are a BENEFICIARY of the monies allocated to the VA. Its all in the matter of to see if the BENEFICIARY (Veteran) qualifies for VA benefits. With most BENEFICIARY’s (Veterans), they’re under additional stress in hoping that they are receiving the best services in obtaining VA services for a BENEFICIARY’s (Veterans) Time of Military Service Served. Are you able to help these men and women to obtain help? Any suggestions on what they should do? Good minds can make things happen.

    2. Hey Lawyer 2,

Why don’t you take your VSO bullshit chatter back over to your VSO sites?

You also might want to follow the advice I gave Cassie, you useless fuck.

      1. Oops, something going on over here (or is that hear?). It could be a VSO Reseller. Their out there in the mist of them there critter eating left over poop cannon residuals.

    3. Interesting – and bold assertion “Lawyer 2” who is too cowardly to use his/her own name while using the email “[email protected]”. How is that for narcissistic, Mr. Got Juice, whatever that means?

It’s sad and misinformed of you to conclude veterans are too poor to afford to hire legal representation.

Veterans hire attorneys all the time to buy houses, businesses, get divorces, get out of jail, create estates, draft wills, etc. For the past decade, veterans have also been able to reasonably pay an attorney to help win their benefits after being wrongly denied money or services.

Meanwhile, VA attorneys earn over six figures as do executives of the major veteran organizations. In fact, DAV execs earn over $300k yearly. VA executives earn between $130k-$180k at least. Is it wrong for these people to earn a wage while performing a service?

Now, should attorneys who help veterans win over six figures in wrongly denied benefits not also earn a fair fee, where a VSO was unable to previously help and where a VA adjudicator denied the benefits in writing? The American public, Congress, and VA all say these attorneys should get paid a reasonable amount for the service. It is legal to pay an attorney a fair fee if they help fight for your rights in an appeal.

I work pro bono for veterans “who don’t have money.” I work for a fee for veterans who can afford it.

I am PROUD AS HELL to be good enough at my job to justify being paid a reasonable amount for winning while FIGHTING federal attorneys who are paid VERY WELL by taxpayers to deny claims. Most folks, including me, earn a great deal less dealing with the headache of VA and mistakes made by veteran organizations than we would working for a big law firm.

But if we did that, veterans would still be getting screwed by VA just like they were for the preceding 8 decades. Certainly, the veteran orgs were unable to plow through all the wrong denials and lacked the legal training to get it done – – otherwise, the US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims would not exist.

      1. Did you get my email, Ben?

I discovered yesterday that my back payment in excess of 6 figures awarded by the VA has mysteriously had someone else’s decision put in its place. My claim is for TBI TDIU. The decision under my ID on the VA computer system is for someone’s knees? And negative.

Has the substitution been made by someone with access to steal my 6 figure payout. My attorney didn’t receive a copy of my BVA decision. So is her contingency fee (deducted from my award) of over $30,000.00 gone with my back payment to someone else?

The BVA gave me TDIU from 2009 in part and remanded part to the AOJ for re evaluating my initial claim of TDIU in 1987. The VARO in Denver failed to certify my appeal to the BVA and failed to give me a local rating board hearing for the TDIU claim in 1987. The rating board came up with an addition 10% dated in 1989 for tinnitus. My tinnitus was claimed as “hearing loss” (a system) in 1974. My injuries were not investigated medically but were investigated for “in the line of duty not misconduct” in 1974 and claimed disabilities were service connected but compensated at 0%.

      2. @Lem: Lem, the VA, has been stealing veterans disability check since the end of Vietnam. This is how the scam works: You file a claim for disability, your claim is denied, then the director, of someone under the director, takes your claim number and opens a bank account under a fictitious name. You simply think you have been denied, when actually they awarded you your claim. Instead of Lem, getting payed, Larry Moe and Curly, are living high on the hog, and politicians are receiving millions in their campaign funds. What the fuck planet did I fall off of you ask?

What I just described is real, has been going on since at least 1968, it has been brought to the supreme courts, attention, the court issued orders, the va refuses to follow those orders, and the lower courts turn a blind eye. At this very moment, all of the proof, along with the supreme courts orders are sitting in the hands of Senator “lil” Dick Durbin. Senator “Songbird” McCain has known about this then entire time, and also, has refused to do shit about it. Want the entire story, as told by the Vietnam veteran who uncovered this scam?

Once again here is the video link of the interview of Vietnam veteran Edwin H. Crosby III, by Veteran’s Forum moderator Fred Smart. This video is not about only secret codes placed on your dd214. I know it is a long video, but you all should watch it. Clearly shows the depths of deception, and corruption that the VA, has been engaging in all these years.

Lem, if this has been happening to you, then you are entitled to a helluva lot more, than you originally thought. If you find that this occurred in your case? Go get em Lem, go get em!!!!

    4. Hey Lawyer II – you seem to be pretty full of yourself. Speaking for myself, I could plow through two feet of power project finance documents and find sleazy lawyer games. I used to coach $500/hr lawyers on technology so they could wordsmith warranties, service agreements, serial defects and liquidated damages. And I’d still catch their fuck ups. I got caught up in a 3 year USPTO patent case, and had to teach those dickweeds too.

Now, picture very capable guy getting on in his career having a major reboot of PTSD and depression and a torrid love affair with his 9mm. He files for comp and can barely get through to the web site let alone cognating the myriad piles of shit designed by lawyers to complicate application for benefits the corksoakers don’t want to give you anyway.

I do not personally know Mr. Krause other than what is on his “about the author” blurb, and, that he has his own practice and he probably couldn’t have picked a class of clientele with less money – so – it’s safe to assume he doesn’t have brochures for Citation IIs laying around his office. It’s obvious to those capable of fogging a mirror that he spends a shit-load of time digging up shit on the VA to keep other people informed by way of this website, and his own network.

Ben also seems like a big boy and can handle dipsticks such as yourself, and he certainly doesn’t need me to come to his aid. However your comments struck a chord with me personally and I felt a keen desire to tell you to go fuck yourself.

Go fuck yourself. Hard and often.

      1. LOLZ. Good stuff Windguy. I’d be curious to hear about some of the techniques you are talking about given it seems VA is implementing those same strategies w/ a lot of their new forms and DBQs. I know they hire very sophisticated consultants to work on these kinds of matters, and it has made the process more confusing for a lot of veterans.

    5. The term “BAR” is an acronym for British Accredited Registry These snakes are in fact working for the Crown of England. And that is why the gold fringed flags are in the courtrooms. It signifies admiralty jurisdiction* [maritime law], which is another way of saying British jurisdiction [England is a maritime nation]. When you cross the bar in a courtroom, you are entering a British colonial forum.

There are over 30 grievances listed against the King of England in the Declaration of Independence (1776). Nearly all of them are applicable today against the Crown of England via the BAR Association. If you don’t have a copy, get one and read it. Each grievance therein begins with “He” (in reference to the King). As you read through the grievances, mentally supplant “He” with “BAR Association, on behalf of the Crown of England” and you’ll see exactly what I mean………and BEN I don’t put you in the snake category its these other turds

      1. Yup – barrister – as in bar. Wig and robe wearing snobby mofos. These guys can make Wall Street Bankster Lawyers seem downright pleasant. UK solicitors – think “Better Call Saul”..

  42. Actually 2 Admins quit on the same day, and neither started a new FB page. One was asked to help Admin on a new page that was started by a previous member of this group, which she briefly helped out with on a very limited basis. Neither quit due to your ‘Pro-Veteran’ position, but quit because their goal was to help veterans successfully navigate the Chapter 31 system, and occasionally help them with other claim problems. Neither one wanted to take on the large task of being the sole active Admin, especially since the new emphasis was on subjects other than Vocational Rehabilitation. There is no need for you to negatively discuss 2 people who spent an aggregate total of at least 40 hours weekly for a couple of years (not sure of exact length of time) helping Disabled Veterans on the page at your request. That really is beneath you, Ben.

    1. Hey Cassie,

Why don’t you head on down to your local VFW and play a song on the juke box. There is one that I can recommend for you personally. It’s called “There’s a tear in my Beer”.

      Congratulations Ben!

You have been doing excellent work and are continuing to do so.

      1. Were you even a member of the page when this happened? We are all allowed our opinions based upon our experiences, and merely stating an opinion that you disagree with doesn’t mean that it is ‘whining’, as you are implying. I feel that there is no need to demean others. Ben can be proud of his accomplishments without doing that. BTW: How would you even know that there is a jukebox at your local VFW unless you have been there? Lol!

    2. Not clear about this comment. I have no idea what you are talking about Cassie.

The admin quit the group in response to my changed banner that highlighted the group’s purpose better… to help expose false statements made by VA employees. I was on the message board, obviously, and saw what was written as the reason for quitting – it was the banner’s stated purpose of the group.

But nonetheless, after that incident, the group size exploded. So, good for the group and thanks for chiming in.

  43. Also, I did purchase your Voc Rehab Survival Guide. I mentioned a few months back that I wanted to contribute financially to the good work that you are doing. Even though Voc Rehab is of zero use to me now – – – I find value in your website.

So I do need to contribute from time to time, as I am financially able. Any way (for the future) for me to give a “gift subscription” to one f the younger laddies and lassies I run into who are just fed up with the BS the Voc Rehab Coordinator in Honolulu puts out?

  44. All good, Benjamin. We need to keep the heat on and even turn it way-up, as it’s looking like the AFGE is amassing it’s asses in proposed privatization of air traffic controllers…HA HA HA….am praying little Cox will have a verbal tantrum that will cause entire AFGE herd to be banished.

Convinced our task in cleaning the VA up is dependent on the ousting the AFGE and any federal union from VA.

    1. @Namnibor – – – There are a LOT of Veterans that are slowly becoming convinced that the AFGE Union has to go. And that NO unions should be allowed in ANY governmental workplace.

Or as my Friend and Personal Physician, the good Dr. Disgruntled Veteran says – – – HERE is a prescription that is pretty much guaranteed to cure what is ailing MANY of our nations veterans:

      FIX THE DAMN BROKEN VA:

      1. Recognize the problems inherent in the VA are SYSTEM-WIDE, not just limited to a few locations.

      2. Fire all the Lazy No Good Workers. Fire EVERY single AFGE/SES Employee.

      3. Sell off all the VA facilities. Alternatively, they may be converted into housing for homeless veterans.

      4. Issue all veterans a card that allows them to choose their own doctors within their community that they can TRUST.

      5. The United States Government will PAY those doctors promptly (Within 45 days) for the care they provide veterans.

      6. ELIMINATE the “Federal Protection” Umbrella for incompetent QUACKS that the VA sends to other states to practice other than their own. Going to practice in Hawaii? You need to be LICENSED in Hawaii. Same applies to all other states.

      7. Any claim a veteran submits that requires more than 90 days to adjudicate, is automatically found to be in favor of the veteran. If a claim filed by a veteran is found to be a false one designed to scam the system, the VA will have to prove in civil court that a false claim was intentionally submitted.

      8. All veterans will be allowed to seek/retain the services of a Veterans Rights Attorney from their first initial contact with the VA.

      9. No AFGE, nor any other Labor Union business will be allowed to take place in any Federal Workplace. Conducting Union Business during working hours will be STRICTLY PROHIBITED, and will be STRICTLY ENFORCED. Should any government employee be found violating this provision, it will result in IMMEDIATE LIFETIME DISMISSAL FROM ANY/ALL GOVERNMENTAL EMPLOYMENT. Attorney’s for appeal will be retained at the former employee’s PERSONAL expense. U. S. Taxpayer’s will not be subject to payment of legal bills for incompetent personnel with regards to Governmental Employment.

POTUS Reagan broke up PATCO in the ’80’s. POTUS Trump and our current Congress Critters do NOT have Veterans Interests at heart. Perhaps their replacements will. VOTE OUT all these WORTHLESS INCUMBENTS. Give their replacement’s one term to take care of the Veterans. If they cannot muster the stones to do it properly – – – vote their worthless asses out as well. Party should NOT MATTER. What SHOULD MATTER is their voting records on VETERANS ISSUES.

NO Combat Veteran should be surprised when the next McVeigh Incident occurs. Bound to happen. Just a matter of time . . .

  45. Congratulations Ben, on your Big Growth in such a short time!

Too old for your group, but I am glad that it exists for the younger veterans.

Wishing you and the younger vets continued success.

      1. Ben I am very grateful that I found this site at last I found a place where I could speak to other veterans having some of the same problems I have experienced.

You have helped a lot of veterans and many veteran’s posting their stories lets me know that it was not only me being harmed.

Many have posted some very interesting facts about the VA and has helped me and other’s.

Too bad veterans do not have access to attorneys who would take on the VA disruptive committee.

VA employees must be held accountable for everything they do to veterans.
