  1. @OLDMARINE – – – I will be signing that one! Dogs? Interesting. Is there NO ONE in the VA
    COVFEFE – – – Ahem, please excuse me – – – CLUSTERFUCK OF LEADERLESSNESS that is aware that the closest animal (physiologically speaking) to a human is the PIG? Why not use them instead?

    LET’S KILL SOME VETS – – – AND KILL THEIR PETS! Put that on a billboard and erect it outside VA HQ.

    You can just imagine the VA’s mindset: “Yes, Sir. We can call it “medical research and studies”. Ought to help us get another fifty-mil or so on our next budget request . . . “

    1. pigs you say James,.. naw… they don’t want to do any research on one of their own….LOL

  2. There’s a new petition taking off on …………..”Change.org Stop Abusive Dog Experiments “…….., and we think you might be interested in signing it.
    Petitioning Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Secretary David Suck-ass
    Stop Abusive Dog Experiments As U.S. military veterans, family members, and active duty members, we’re sickened that the Department of Veterans Affairs (V.A.) is using taxpayers’ money to purchase, breed, abuse and kill dogs in wasteful experiments. The VA’s painful and deadly experiments on dogs are a betrayal of these loyal animals who literally save soldiers’ lives on and off the battlefield. These projects also waste resources desperately needed to provide veterans with care and services.

    According to news reports and the non-profit White Coat Waste Project, some of the V.A.’s current projects involve:

    · giving mixed-breed puppies heart attacks (Richmond V.A.)
    · cutting into beagle puppies’ brains (Milwaukee V.A.)
    · damaging dogs’ spinal cords (Cleveland V.A.)

    Most of the beagles, hounds and other dogs in these laboratories won’t even be given a name, just a number that’s tattooed inside of their ears. Like female beagles DM163618 and DM163625 who were born in June 2016 and will be spending their first birthday imprisoned inside a Milwaukee V.A. laboratory, if they haven’t already been killed for invasive brain experiments.

    Most Americans agree—75% of voters want to end dog experimentation and Democrats and Republicans in Congress are speaking out against the V.A.’s cruelty. The Los Angeles V.A. has announced it is ending its painful and deadly dog experiments, and the last three V.A. laboratories using dogs can and should follow suit.

    Please join us in urging VA Secretary David Shulkin to end this abuse immediately as he works to reform the V.A.

  3. @Ben – – – Great Interview! I shared on Google+. Sorry, do not do Facebook. Too distracting and Time consuming. Plus, seems they have unintentionally leaked some “terror account moderators” personal info to the public.

    @Seymore Klearly – – – Looks like two minor wins for veterans this week. Thank You for all you do. Wish I still had the skills – – – but alas – – – they are gone forever. TBI/PTSD is an interesting mistress.

    @ALL – – – Agree with Seymore that POTUS Trump has the horsepower and info. Look how scared ALL of Washington is running. ANY excuse will be thrown up to distract the American Public from getting the VA fixed properly – – – and to eat into our President’s Time from getting things done. ANY. Whether it has any basis in FACT is another matter entirely.

    It is high time to:

    FIX THE DAMN BROKEN VA:

    1. Recognize the problems inherent in the VA are SYSTEM-WIDE, not just limited to a few locations.

    2. Fire all the Lazy No Good Workers. Fire EVERY single AFGE/SES Employee.

    3. Sell off all the VA facilities. Alternatively, they may be converted into housing for homeless veterans.

    4. Issue all veterans a card that allows them to choose their own doctors within their community that they can TRUST.

    5. The United States Government will PAY those doctors promptly (Within 45 days) for the care they provide veterans.

    6. ELIMINATE the “Federal Protection” Umbrella for incompetent QUACKS that the VA sends to other states to practice other than their own. Going to practice in Hawaii? You need to be LICENSED in Hawaii. Same applies to all other states.

    7. Any claim a veteran submits that requires more than 90 days to adjudicate, is automatically found to be in favor of the veteran. If a claim filed by a veteran is found to be a false one designed to scam the system, the VA will have to prove in civil court that a false claim was intentionally submitted.

    8. All veterans will be allowed to seek/retain the services of a Veterans Rights Attorney from their first initial contact with the VA.

    9. No AFGE, nor any other Labor Union business will be allowed to take place in any Federal Workplace. Conducting Union Business during working hours will be STRICTLY PROHIBITED, and will be STRICTLY ENFORCED. Should any government employee be found violating this provision, it will result in IMMEDIATE LIFETIME DISMISSAL FROM ANY/ALL GOVERNMENTAL EMPLOYMENT.

    10. Attorneys for appeal will be retained at the former employee’s PERSONAL expense. U. S. Taxpayer’s will not be subject to payment of legal bills for incompetent personnel with regards to Governmental Employment.

    POTUS Reagan broke up PATCO in the ’80’s. Time for POTUS Trump to break up the AFGE. Most of our current Congress Critters do NOT have Veterans Interests at heart. Perhaps their replacements will. VOTE OUT all these WORTHLESS INCUMBENTS. Give their replacement’s one term to take care of Veterans who put aside their own personal lives to answer this nation’s call when she needed them.

    If they cannot MUSTER THE STONES to do it properly – – – vote their worthless asses out as well. Party should NOT MATTER. What SHOULD MATTER is their VOTING RECORDS ON VETERANS ISSUES.

    NO Combat Veteran should be surprised when the next McVeigh or Congressional Baseball Team Incident occurs. Bound to happen. Just a matter of time . . .

    We have now reached the next accelerative phase of our country falling apart. Country before Party. Principles before Personalities. Always.

      “Even a man who’s pure at heart, and says his prayers at night.
      Will become a wolf, when the ‘wolfbane blooms’, and the moon is full and bright!”

      Kinda sounds like our DOD appointed officials, huh!

Do y’all remember the comment I put on here a few days ago about a “classified action lawsuit against Monsanto”, and their production of “Round-up” weed killer (better known as dioxin/glyphosate [poison]) being used by the average homeowner and other professionals? 7. A lot of vets live on fear the VA will cancel their benefits for not using VAMC. Why would the VA assume a vet is better for getting private care and try to reduce rating? It’s not legal but I keep seeing this urban legend on forums.

  8. “VA remains a problem”
    Editorials
    Jun 16, 2017
    The Leader Herald

    “Is there no end to the dishonesty and shoddy treatment of those who served our country by bureaucrats at the Department of Veterans Affairs?

    Apparently not. In late February, members of the Senate Judiciary Committee asked VA officials about how long veterans were kept waiting for help at the agency’s hospitals in Iowa. No one had been on a wait-list for more than 90 days, lawmakers were assured.

    Then someone blew the whistle on the liars. Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, is furious. He is doubly angry, first because VA officials lied to the committee he chairs and second because his constituents were affected.

    VA officials now admit the committee was given incorrect information. According to the whistleblower — who deserves a pay raise and promotion –the truth about the agency’s Iowa City hospital is this:

    During the past couple of years, 537 veterans were kept waiting for treatment for between three and six months and 539 were delayed for between six months and a year. Another 232 were on wait-lists for between one and two years.

    This is not a surprise. The wait-list scandal dates back to 2014. An investigation then disclosed VA supervisors at 40 facilities in 19 states ordered staff members to manipulate wait-list data to make it appear veterans were not kept waiting.

    Since then, VA officials have claimed time and time again that the agency is cleaning up its act. Clearly, that has not occurred.

    Grassley and 13 other senators want to know why, during the past two years, fewer than six VA employees involved in the original scandal have been fired.

    Now there is a new fiasco to be investigated and, no doubt, a new round of blithe assurances to be heard from the VA.

    No. No more. This is intolerable, and it will end only when everyone involved is fired — and some are prosecuted and put behind bars.”

    “https://www.leaderherald.com/opinion/editorials/2017/06/va-remains-a-problem/”

    1. Any clinic that wants to create a waitlist in the va system can do it. This practice of negligence goes back further than a few years.

  11. “VA reverses course on two items that drew congressional critics ”
    By: tom PHILPOTT Military Update
    June 17, 2017

    “First, Shulkin said he was dropping VA’s appeal of the Staab case decided last year by the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Last week he said Staab had been wrongly decided, exposing VA to at least $2 billion in veteran claims for outside emergency care, money VA needed to provide promised services.

    Pulling the appeal means VA intends to begin covering private sector emergency care for any VA-enrolled veteran, even if they have alternative health insurance that pays part of their emergency care costs. As many as 370,000 veterans with pending claims could benefit too, explained Sen. Mike Rounds, R-S.D., who thanked Shulkin for changing his mind. Shulkin said Rounds and Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., were right to sharply criticize the decision to appeal.”

    ~~~
    “Shulkin’s second surprise Wednesday was to tell Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev., he will work with Congress to find a less hurtful way to fund his Choice replacement plan, CARE, than by administratively ending Individual Unemployability eligibility next year for 208,000 seriously disabled veterans age 62 or older.
    The program allows veterans with VA disability ratings of 60 to 90 percent to receive enhanced compensation because they are unable to work. It qualifies veterans to receive disability pay as if they were 100 percent disabled. It adds an average of $1,600 to their monthly payments, a VA official told senators.
    Shulkin said he reconsidered ending the program for older recipients “as I began to listen to veterans and their concerns.”
    Shulkin conceded that ending the benefit for elderly was a poor choice from a menu of options, telling Heller, “I am not going to support policies that hurt veterans.””
A VAMC patient requested help withdrawing funds from an ATM due to the patient’s physical limitations. Kudla abused his position at the VAMC as well as the trust of the victim by withdrawing funds from the victim’s bank account for Kudla’s personal use on over 40 occasions between February 2015 and July 2015. As part of his sentence, the District Court ordered Kudla to pay full restitution of $22,320 to the victim, with $4,000 due immediately.”
  13. Let me post a thought on this glorious day to be an American expressing my First Ammendment right about a time when I ALMOST thought it was a good idea to strip the First Ammendment from my list of rights that I vowed to uphold.
    I remember struggling in my mind for months on end about just what pornography was and what it was not. Back in my youth, I was young dumb and full of groin generated proteins and enzymes and thought it was important to get on the morality train that had been set in motion by The Meese Commission. Younger vets won’t remember Meese and some of older vets blush when we do.
    Meese was a DC jackass very similar in demeanor to the current POTUS and AG. Pasty white and full of more hot air than the Hindenburg was moments before it contacted the Earth on May 6, 1937. Meese decide porn was rotting our youths minds and started making laws and shit up trying to define whan a human beings soft and dangly parts are “pornographic”, and when they are “art”. He sort of discounted that most soft and dangly parts are just “procreation”, and I guess nobody clued him in that his dad only told him he would go blind from masturbating because it was embarassing them in the grocery store. So when Meese grew up he started regulating soft and danglies, and literally produced a written definition of “pornography” that when read literally would apply to The Bible. It all sort of went nowhere after that little tidbit was revealled.
    Now fast forward a couple decades, or maybe about four (my memories are in a backlog), and I am staring now at a device Meese never heard of – an iPad. I have seen substantially similar devices in the hands of nearly ever single child old enough to hold onto one and not throw it in delight at the wall. After punching the screen at the right places and at the right moments the child will no longer be kept in the dark about procreation and the recreational pursuit of it and will no longer need courses in human anatomy or sex education at school!
    This I think is what also will unravel the VA corruption. The internet combined with now universal free access to it has lifted the veil on the human body and also of the mind. No longer can I look at any human and be at all in doubt that their ass has a hairy ring hidden in the valley just like mine because the proof of it is in my hands at this moment – an iPad. No longer can I ignore that VA is not at its core more than just a few bad apples, but clearly is an highly organized grouping of immoral folks that has somehow leveraged unusual power that rivals even the ability of POTUS himself to personally fire one single man. The one single man he fired nationally was rehired, forcing The People to contiune giving him money even though The People clearly said, “no”. This is not done by one man. This is an organization with deep roots. Taking when the owner says “no” is robbery or when taking liberties with anyone after they say “no”, then it is rape. My proof is in my hands – my iPad. The internet has become the diary of our nation. I have read the daily diary now for a long time and VA fills chapters and chapters, second only to the number of internet porn sites – but clearly the winner for filth if you judge death and despair to be filthier than procreation.
    Dear diary, it turns out that my dad was wrong about me going blind. It also turns out that VA has its own hand shoved down Americas trousers.
    1. @Dennis- Lest we forget the poor pigeons blamed for that now-retired head of VAOIG caught habitually masturbating in that all glass conference room.
      I’m thinking a few hairy rings were involved and at least two hands…the pigeons say it was a circlejerk, so there’s the rings, and generations of pigeons in therapy. Some things you just cannot un-see because it stains the brain.
      1. The pigeons in group therapy ALL claim Larry Craig, ex-congress critter, was also in that glass conference room menagerie.
        If you recall, ex-Congress Critter Larry Craig got caught a few times, but most notably, he was exercising his 1st Amendment Right to stroke in the Minneapolis Airport…and it was a sting operation/undercover, that caught him, but he had been exercising his left and rights for YEARS, while out the other side of mouth being venomously Biblically Hateful about sexual deviancy, most notably, homosexuality…of which, this dino congress critter was overcompensating for with exercising his left and rights in bathroom stalls across these United States.
        We live in a Hypocrisy Democracy. Left, Right, Left, Right….
    2. @namnibor
      You hit on the PERFECT name for a documentary screenplay I am writing anout the daily routine at a ficticious VA hospital. It is an amalgem of “M.A.S.H.”, “Gilligans Island”, “The Adams Family”, “The Munsters”, “The Flinstones”, and “Looney Toons”. I will call it, “Pidgeons”. And the theme song can be played to the tune of “My Merry-Go-Round Broke”.
      The script will be from headlines published in our national news media, but with edits needed for a PG-13 rating. It can star POTUS (Played by Trump), Shulkin (Played by Erkle), Cox (Played by Ron Jeremy), and the whole HEE-HAW gang played by the whole HEE-HAW gang. VA employees will co-star (played by The Little Rascals) and the whole production will directed by Mr. Magoo with music by Alfred Yankovic.
      I say it is a ficticious VA hospital because unlike the real thing, no vets will die in the making of the fiction.
  14. With recent passing of my father, this particular father’s day weekend is particularly frosty on my nerves.
    1. @Namnibor – – – Hey Brother, know how it feels. Been since ’71 for mine, and can still be a struggle during parts of the day. Later, Nutter.
  15. @SeymoreKlearly, thank you. Navigating the internet is my personally biggest challenge. I’m looking forward to seeing it.
  16. This Pamela S. Mitchell is another story. Doesn’t look like she ever got her hands dirty. That resume is totally different. I’m usually wrong, but that’s ok. This resume smells of disbursements. Money moving. Glad she was replaced. @SeymoreKlearly, I pray our President can overcome the adversity that has come upon him. Today, he looked beaten down. Like, someone had him by the balls. I’m wondering if that might be the kitchen sink. One thing I learned is, what I am hearing, what they are showing, is most often not what’s true. Ryan, the expressions and demeanor say he’s laying and waiting for his chance to jump. If; Pence is somehow involved, Ryan may be in a good position. I listen to many, and all are confused and anger comes early. God Bless the Veterans, and our President.
    1. Have to agree with you on Mitchell. Regarding Trump. Last year at this time, all we kept on hearing was how Donald Trump will never be elected President. Yet he is now our President.
      While all the monkeys with keyboards and press passes have been slinging their feces in the direction of President Trump they all have clearly been missing their mark. All they are doing is just creating a big stink in the swamp and covering themselves in their own feces. They have lost all credibility.
      If you get a chance to listen to Veterans Voice Of America Podcast at Susan Knowles website you might want to let the auto play then load Susan’s next Podcast titled “Knowles on the News” for June 14th. She covers the Trump situation Very Well.
      I personally am looking forward to the day in the very near future when Trump brings the hammer down. He certainly has the information and the position to do it.
  17. Sorry Ben, I don’t do that stuff either. I can say, that’s an impressive and awesome resume for Shelby. I’m finding it difficult to even question, why so many jobs. I’ll be damned to say something negative about Shelby. I will learn more. He sounds good. Thanks @ SeymoreKlearly, as always, right on top of things. Honestly, I have never heard of him. But, the things he’s accomplished….. Good digging
      1. Big question is why is the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and the CIA in charge of Human Resources and Administrations at the Veterans Administration?
      2. @Seymore Klearly: That got my attention!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Interesting question indeed.
      3. could this be why it is such a corrupt agency, and so unaccountable? No wonder they could give a shit what a Veteran thinks.
      4. @Seymore Klearly: Is this just recent? or has this been this way all along? The DIA and CIA in charge at the VA I mean?
      5. I see, never mind, It is late, sorry. Thanks for posting, this could be a very good thing.
      6. Ex va not sure yet on the reason although I do have some thoughts on the subject. Will expand on them latter this weekend.
      7. Ex va,
        In Ben’s Podcast Friday he covered a lot on the VA and toward the end of the Podcast he covered quite a bit about what is going on at the VA I believe points to the reason for the DIA and CIA having control over Human resources at the VA.
        If you want to see the broadcast I listed the directions on how someone without a Facebook account can view it below in a response to Jo3n. I kind of like being able to also just open a new tab and just listening to the broadcast replayed from Susan Knowles’s website in the additional link provided while online doing other things.
        Hopefully in the future Ben and Susan will consider using Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) an open source software that is free. Then tied with Restream.io they could broadcast live to 30 different platforms such as this website, Susan’s website, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube all live at the same time. All that is required is sending their feed through Restream.io who then sends the broadcast to all the other platforms who then also can display the broadcast live all at the same time.
        The cost for restream starts at $7.00 per month and $2.00 per hour of broadcast encoding.
      8. Ben,
        After further checking. The Facebook BeLive.tv that you and Susan are using will generate the rtmp stream key that would be needed to use Restream.io. so no need to use OBS software.
        Also I note that Restream.io has a chat feature that allows you to monitor all chat responses from all platforms while live. There is a compatible plug in available through Word press for the live chat.
    2. @Seymore Klearly: SK, thank you for the directions on how to listen to this broadcast. Ben, excellent show.
  19. Since POTUS is being investigated, he should think about lessening his posts. DC Throat Cutters are looking for blood. Be careful if traveling to the DC area.
  20. I was actually able to view it live this time without being a member of FB at all. Cool Beans, Ben!
      1. I have no idea, but the last time it did not work live at all and had to wait and go back and try after posted. No magic, just luck of the click of the mouse I guess.
        With that said, I too, cannot support facebook.
  21. Sorry Ben, I don’t do social media. Wish you guys would use a format that all could access.
