DisabledVeterans.org was launched in 2010 with one purpose: to help disabled veterans secure the benefits they were promised. That mission has not changed.

For many years, this platform has been funded out of my own disability compensation and through reader support — including purchases of our resources and membership programs. As the work has grown to include investigative reporting and broader advocacy efforts, the costs have grown with it. Transparency matters.

No Legal Advice

I am a veterans advocate and investigative journalist. I am not an attorney, and nothing on this website — whether free or paid — should be considered legal advice. The information shared here is based on personal experience, research, interviews, and the lived experiences of other veterans. The goal is to inform, empower, and encourage veterans to seek appropriate professional guidance when needed.

Affiliate Links and Compensation

In compliance with Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines:

  • Some links on this website may be affiliate links.

  • If you click and make a purchase, the site may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.

  • Occasionally, products or services may be provided for review.

  • If sponsorship or paid partnerships exist, they will be disclosed.

That said, I do not recommend products, services, or organizations that I do not believe provide genuine value to veterans. Any compensation received does not influence editorial content or investigative work.

Interviews and Sponsorships

If I interview someone, attend an event, or receive something of nominal value (such as a meal or promotional item), I will disclose it when relevant. However, minor courtesies do not affect coverage or reporting.

Editorial Independence

Investigative advocacy is expensive. As this platform expands into deeper reporting and broader reform efforts, outside funding and sponsorships may help support that work. Financial support does not dictate conclusions, reporting angles, or advocacy positions.

The mission remains the same: To push for accountability, transparency, and fair treatment for disabled veterans.

If you ever have questions about funding, affiliations, or disclosures, you are welcome to ask.

Thank you for being part of this community and for supporting work that fights for a square deal.
