Veteran Entrepreneurship should be encouraged since entrepreneurial spirit will be one of the major drivers behind a US economic recovery. Over 815,000 jobs have been created by the 66,000 veteran-owned franchises. This Act could dramatically increase those numbers.

Here is what other veterans had to say about H.R. 3351

Support H.R. 3351: Franchise Education for Veterans Act

[quote]

Dear Rep. Frank Pallone:

I support H.R. 3351: Franchise Education for Veterans Act because… I am a Veteran of the Iraq War. To make a long story short I sustained an injury but was allowed to complete my tour of duty. In addition, when I returned home I was no longer fit for duty and received an Honorable Discharge, under medical conditions. The result was that I lost both my Federal Civil Service job and my military status a well. Unfortunately, I was not able to pay my mortgage and other living expenses and the lender would not refinance my loan. Nevertheless, my payments kept rising month after month until I could no longer afford to make the payments. I had no other options accept to hire an attorney and file for bankruptcy. This has presented a problem for me with regard to lending for business of franchise opportunities. Finally, it would benefit me significantly if i had the opportunity to buy into a franchise, and help my community by hiring individuals to help me run the business. Thank you in advance for your consideration and attention to this matter.

Respectfully Submitted,
