Veterans Benefits Webinar

Understanding Your Rights After the Minnesota Policy Win

Join VA-Accredited Attorney Benjamin Krause to Navigate Landmark Disclosure Enhancements and Protect Yourself from Benefits Fraud

When: April 10, 2026 at 12:00 pm US Central

Where: On Zoom.
(We will send this in your confirmation email.)

This free public webinar, hosted by Benjamin Krause — a disabled U.S. Air Force veteran, VA-accredited attorney, and recipient of the 2025 Minnesota Vetrepreneur of the Year award — is designed to help veterans nationwide understand significant new consumer protections. Following a successful policy push by the United Veterans Leadership Council (UVLC), the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) has updated its Veterans Benefits Disclosure form.

This session will provide evidence-driven guidance on how these reforms reinforce a veteran’s right to choose lawful representation for federal claims and appeals while strengthening safeguards against predatory companies charging unlawful fees. Attendees will learn how to hold the VA accountable and take full advantage of these pro-veteran reforms.

You Will Learn:

Identifying Lawful Representation:
Understand the official recognition of VA-accredited attorneys and agents as your legal representatives to ensure you are receiving authorized assistance.

Clarifying Legal Fees:
Learn exactly when fees are permitted under federal law and how to identify predatory companies charging unauthorized or unlawful fees.

Reporting Misconduct and Fraud:
Discover the new, clear reporting channels available for veterans to flag misconduct and protect their hard-earned benefits.
