The VA announced on April 19, 2013 that it will increase mental health providers by 1600 and add 300 clerical workers. However, is that enough to make a difference that veterans see in their care at the local VA clinics and hospitals?
In an article by Dr. John Grohol, he points out that the VA operates 172 hospitals across the United States, and 837 outpatient clinics. So effectively, that is 1,009 facilities that a vet can access for help. To put that in perspective Groh0l argues that 1.4 new clinicians per facility will not make much of a difference.

It another political ploy to gain votes..
Band Aid…and not a big 1 inch Band Aid but rather that little tiny good-for-nothing 1/4 inch Band Aid which are almost always discarded because they don’t serve a purpose except to show everyone you are showing off a tiny wound which requires no Band Aid at all. This problem needs some major bandaging and wound care.
