Soon-to-be former VA police officer Michael Kaim is preparing to surrender his license. Having pleaded guilty to an assault at the Indianapolis VA, this surrender is part and parcel of Kaim’s plea agreement – as well it should be.

Kaim has pleaded guilty, not only to the assault, but to an obstruction of justice charge related to falsifying his police report of that incident. He initially claimed that the victim, whose name has not been released, was disruptive and resisting arrest.

Kaim now acknowledges that, having been told to leave, the victim was complying. He was outside the door and exiting the premises as instructed, but Kaim still slammed him against a wall, caused him to fall face-first onto the sidewalk, and struck him in the head at least six times.

As part of the plea bargain, this charge has been downgraded, from assault in the first degree to “deprivation of rights under color of law” (meaning while the defendant was in uniform). He will face up to a year in prison and/or a fine of up to $100,000. He also cannot seek future employment with law enforcement.

However, this is a drastic reduction in terms, since he could’ve gotten up to twenty years on the obstruction charge alone. The sentence doesn’t even match the initial filed charges anymore, which is typically not allowed by court procedure.

I don’t know what this guy’s attorney did to get the charges changed, but federal prosecutors don’t normally just “drop” an indictment. This is highly suspicious behavior, likely undertaken to protect an errant police officer from the rightful consequences of his actions.

Indianapolis is a dangerous city, topping the charts for homicides nationwide three years running. Given how lenient the courts are on their cops, for even an incident as blatant and extreme as this, that ought to surprise no one.

What kind of city allows their cops to straight-up curb-stomp a guy with hardly any repercussions? And why would a cop do this? The victim’s name and previous relationship to the defendant (if any) haven’t been released, so the motives for this crime remain unclear.

Whatever the reason, in 2018, we know one thing for sure: prosecutors are looking the other way when cops commit crimes, as much as the law and public opinion allow them to do so.

It’s accepted cop culture to “protect their own” at all costs. But what happens when “their own” really don’t deserve that protection?

I believe that most cops are good people with a tough job, just like soldiers. In fact, maybe a lot of you reading this now have worked as police officers too. I really want to see the best in these cops, and in all cops.

Here’s the part I DON’T understand.

If most cops follow the rules and try to protect the people, why would you ever take the side of a cop like this, who beat a guy within an inch of his life and then lied about it? Why do you still owe loyalty to a cop who’s not worthy of their uniform?

Is it the cops doing most of the protecting, or the courts? Is it everybody involved? Is it just fear, need of job security, “bad things happen to whistle-blowers,” et cetera? This is still a problem which so few people talk about openly.

If you have any insight into this, or experience with it in any way, feel free to comment and tell your story. The American people need to know.

    Dear Benjamin Krause,

Why the vengeance? “Kaim now acknowledges that, having been told to leave, the victim was complying. He was outside the door and exiting the premises as instructed, but Kaim still slammed him against a wall, caused him to fall face-first onto the sidewalk, and struck him in the head at least six times.”

    What did this man know?

    Sincerely,

    Don Karg

    • I support cops, VA cops, State Cops, City Cops, …..But I despise bully cops, and bad cops.
Here we have a situation where everyone involved needs to be put under the microscope, there is fraud and corruption present here. As well, this so called cop needs to have several bones broken in each arm and each leg.
When something like this happens, the corrupt people believe that they have the further stamp of approval to break the law and beat up on people who are defenseless.
I have intervened on the part of vets at the VAMCs who were being bullied by errant cops under the direction of corrupt VA bureaucrats. Then they threatened me and I told them, I am a Marine Officer with resources beyond your imagination. I am a lawyer with resources beyond your imagination. soooo, “Go ahead, make my day…”
I recall trying to get an x ray from the D.C. VAMC to take to my private doctor. “They” said I had to wait two weeks to get the x-ray, (which they had a copy of available right then, right there), which was not true, according to the regulations.
Well, I went up through the chain of command finally ended up at the Director’s office with my request, NEVER RAISED MY VOICE.
So the Director asked me to wait outside the office, and I peaceably calmly agreed.
5 minutes later as I am leaning against the wall, casually waiting for word from the Director’s office, I looked down the long hall to see FIVE VA COPS COMING TOWARD ME.
      So, I calmly asked them: ”You guys coming for ME??” The one in the front said: “Yes sir we are!” So I said;
“Good, cuz I could use the money, you know”. Well the 6ft. 5″ cop in the rear said, hold on a minute here; I am not putting my hands on that guy; He is a lawyer and a former Marine Officer who knows exactly what he is doing!!” so they stopped, walking toward me, got on their radios with the Director’s Office, talked briefly with someone there, turned around and walked away. Three minutes later, the Director came out of his office and said: “Your x-rays are ready for you to pick up” I politely thanked him and went down to pick up my xrays and took them to my civilian doctor to review.
      Two morals to this story:
      1. The VA fosters a bully tactic of accusing anyone who disagrees with them to be “acting out” and they use this to dispose of problems which they could easily resolve, but they use VA cops to sweep the problem out the door and make it worse.
      2. Vets need more than the ‘Patient’s advocate’ to resolve problems which vets have or think they have because the veteran’s advocate is under the thumb of the Director, and they will only treat you with respect when they think you may have the power to quash them.

Any “cop” who acted in this manner to beat anyone this way should be forever in a wheel chair pissing into a bag, and all persons who fraudulently gave him a pass need to be exposed and prosecuted.
There are many good VA cops and good Directors but the Bullies in the system and the corrupt bureaucrats and judges who covered this up need to be taken out, as well as award the victim a bunch of money. but in addition to money which the system can throw out without the least concern, there needs to be greater consequences for this kind of act. This “PUNK” VA Cop would not have done what he did if he did not think he could have gotten away with it/ VA cops, (as all cops need to know) that when they act with good faith and intentions the system will support them, but if the act with bad faith and bad will the wrath of God will descend upon them. (Isn’t this how you raise kids, and conduct affairs in the military??)

  2. I am quite sure that a large civil suit will soon be filed against the V over this incident. As Nambor would say: “Wait for it”.

And yeah . . . the whole thing smells to high heaven.

  3. ‘Former Veterans Affairs Police Chief Pleads Guilty in Manhattan Federal Court to Participating in Kidnapping Conspiracies ‘

    “https://archives.fbi.gov/archives/newyork/press-releases/2014/former-veterans-affairs-police-chief-pleads-guilty-in-manhattan-federal-court-to-participating-in-kidnapping-conspiracies”

Can’t trust anyone with some power or authority today, none, period. I think in my case or life I have also shown that as well.

I am surprised the bastards name wasn’t “Harris or Harry.” He has probably retired.

Charges changed and things dropped? Typical in Indiana, This dude is connected in some way or by union affiliation. Probably to a Hulman or George or special classification. If this happened in Terre Haute not a word would be put out ‘for public consumption.’ Media would refuse to report this stuff since it’s “not positive” for the community wishing to draw mass populations here and companies, or to fill up college seats to brain wash the kiddies. Or train them to be good little communist and Marxist where censoring and stifling free speech and info are primary objectives for all the little Borgs.

Indy is indeed dangerous as hell any why I requested no more evening testing or appointments be made for me. Of course while the PAs and others keep spouting how great and safe their big city is, it’s not the truth. They too like others want to minimize the city’s negatives and try to make it all look appealing and safe, oh, and not as corrupt as it really is. Meanwhile lecturing me on my carrying a ball bat, bear spray, in my vehicle for safety since our vehicles can be searched at any time and if weapons are found we are in deep shit, legal or not. Oh it’s such a happy happy sanctuary city and perfect global village many vets want to proclaim too.

You never know what you’ll run into in the big city. Crowds of foreigners out in the streets not speaking a word of English barking about something. Weird festivals in streets. Pissed of beggars at the roadside or road. Being diverted due to road repair or construction then getting lost and ending up in neighborhoods one should not be found in. Or being told I was in the wrong hood and should leave ASAP. Or to find out you’re lost in a hood where a cop was shot and killed. Or pull in gas station to get gas, get swarmed by cops, to find out the joint just got robbed. Oh what fun the big city is. Indy is right up there with East St. Louis, New Orleans, southside Chicago or Gary.

Hell, look up corruption in Northwest Indiana were Trump just made an appointment from. But not much will be found out about West Central Indiana or Nap town, or other college towns.

Protecting their own is also a primary objective here. “Professional Courtesies” it’s called by the academics, in-crowd, country clubbers, cliques, judges, cops, politicians, and such. Regardless what evil it is, pedophilia, adultery, murder, threats, no due process of court order, any form of corruption. “One of their own” always comes first like the Freemasonry crowd. And who the medical community will go that extra mile for but civilians or vets having issues with them all get shit care or none at all like in my situation. Step on one little toe here among them is to having to later take them all on. I do mean ALL too. I think I’ve proven that much too as well.

    You said it Ben;
“Is it the cops doing most of the protecting, or the courts? Is it everybody involved? Is it just fear, need of job security, “bad things happen to whistle-blowers,” et cetera? This is still a problem which so few people talk about openly. ”

All the above and much more. Fear instilled from birth. “Don’t rock any boats.” Join in the bulling and corruption to make it or get some position. Stand against any of it and never work again locally or get fired union or not. Have your business ruined, or worse. Like me they will have some thug or clique member try burn you out or do harm so the corrupt heads are protected as well the the thugs (utility workers) and racketeers or mafia types are. I am talking total support and protection from top to bottom, feds to state to the locals. In or out of courts, on the streets, anywhere including hospitals and health care. Having to deal with retaliation from all sectors like I have and no-one, no politicians or lawyers willing to help. No laws or protections applicable or easily available especially for some old white dude. VSOs and the rest don’t want to get involved due to politics to the old quid pro quo, symbiotic relationships, and back scratching.

Oh, or after some meeting have some animal rights freaks come out and steal some meat rabbits and write murderer on your garage. But that stuff is okay too here. Lefty protects lefties and all their activism.Yes I am a PETA member.

That is why I record everything today and forget about going to any city council, county council or commissioner meetings. No use trying to get things done or needed paperwork from city hall either it becomes a hassle and nothing to be found like a trail of property deeds that existed once and replaced with phony forged crap from fifty years ago. So now today we can’t record matters in our court house, judges chambers, or cop station, etc. My next move is a body cam plus the usual recording. If I am not allowed to record things for my own protection and proof then why bother trying to discuss issues of corruption with those doing the harm and censoring, or threatening? Or being blocked or assaulted by some young up-coming lawyer who by nepotism now sits in high office like daddy did, and one who stood in my way trying to leave a meeting in a health emergency and smiled about it. Then those around claimed it was me doing the blocking and the witnesses on his side or for the activist and cliques doing the harm, hassles, threats. Or doing the following home afterwards to making life as hectic as possible, and unsafe. Cool ain’t it and a major hospital can’t be forced to hand over medical files while the state and feds say it’s legal and don’t want involved with that either? And passing around health care info is okay too for political and attack reasons.

How bad is it here? Just prior to leaving the VA I bought up a bunch of equipment and camping gear to pack along with me. Plus the usual food, snacks, ice, water, med supplies, etc. I bought privacy pop-up personal shelters in case I had to do an emergency pee, passing stones, or puke with the migraines. I got the sanitary stuff and buckets for potty business too in case there weren’t any bushes or woods to hide in. For the very common two hundred mile trip I had to play like I was doing some urban camping for emergencies. Or in case I had to pop some pain meds and pull over until I could drive again and if migraine hoped it would pass in a day’s time. Nope, I rarely if ever drove taking pain meds at all either.

Why all the prep? For emergencies I normally deal with when traveling and it’s not fun being pulled backwards during a migraine puke attack by some cop thinking you’re drunk or something. Have a boot in the ass at the side of the road by some cop pushing me over in a ditch with a cane in my own puke. Or pulled and pushed around by a young cop dealing with an old gimped up barfing old man that must assuredly be a “terrorist” or something. After a few events like this one has to wonder if it is/was retaliation or some young cops power issues demanding to be “called sir” during an attack like that. So hence my dash cam too.

Hell. How many times have you ever heard of a federal court brief with all original evidence being lost by some high profiled attorney in some state? That is Indiana.

Harassment from staff at a major hospital and their husbands sitting on city council who hate me? Claiming that I am the only one in town or the state with complaints about the town, censoring, corruption, nepotism, no real media, etc. Having gossiped and spread the area making me a target for all their cliques and thugs, businesses too? What fun!!! And I really don’t give a shit about it either. Just shows what this state and town is ruled by (Demoncrats and evil) and actually is behind the grand facade of lefty college town perfection. Just like Indy who the corrupt here want to emulate and are.

I can write about corruption around here starting at the young age of ten on up to today. And not a one of the creeps were charged, etc. None. That includes my attorney I caught with my X-wife to be who later dropped me as a client, took her side, and they lost the case anyway. Oh but he didn’t do anything wrong according the disciplinary commission and American Bar. LOL

More coming the the FB page too. Have to heal up a bit more.

Years later after all my efforts and communications nothing has been done about the VA, local corruption, the attacks, etc. Nothing, not one bite or bit of interest. How’s that for deep-state corruption while Trump stacks his admin with creeps from this state. Anyone thinking yet? Dots aren’t that hard to connect.

This is why this state is said to be “a closed shop for legal matters” and a “hands off state” due to the levels of corruption. “Sin City, aka, “Little Chicago.” A town Dillinger and others shyed away from when robbing and trying to take over certain areas already filled with mafiosos, syndicates, and the corrupt.

  4. First thing that struck me about this article ! The veteran was (disruptive).

This is the catch all for VA employees to use, when veteran’s are involved. Claim the veteran’s were disruptive and it’s excepted as fact or truth and proceeded to punish that veteran.

In this case. This claim of disruptive behavior did not work. Whiteness.

Very same thing happened a few year’s ago. Where a nursing assistant provoked a veteran on one of the hospital unit’s.

Luckily, someone recorded the incident and the employee was caught. Don’t remember if that employee, had anything done to him.

The point is VA employees are using this illegal committee and excuse to harm veteran’s at will.

The VA is not for veteran’s. It’s for people who are willing to harm veteran’s and cover it up.

This guy got the shit kicked out of him and the perpetrator was not punished to the full extent of the law.

Disruptive! Are employees not be being disruptive when they closed the 271 disability claims illegally and without permission from the veteran’s.

    So on and so on.

  5. Corruption runs deep in sectors to include the police department where the good ol boys club is still a problem, there are good cops who are true to their field of expertise and honor the uniform they wear, the same with the military where you read about the brass engaging in adultery, and ruining families on both sides because they wanted to chase skirts, or having affairs with junior enlisted it doesn’t matter who they hurt, the biggest corruption runs in our local state and Capitol government with the last few years where the media decides what it wants to divulge to the American public and what it decides it’s keeps under the rug but the worst is that corruption runs ramped and no matter what, where, or when it will happen cops should be held to the highest level, if one goes rogue what’s to keep the rest from following, this country and it’s citizens have lost site of what this country stood for a long time ago

  6. Pack mentality. Good old boys law club goes all the way up to the Judges. And that answers your question, Ben. Because it is, you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours. A mentality that grows brutality among sadist who do need a reason other than being sadist. I think you are lite on the side of the bad cops. The opportunity is what attracts to being in power no matter which spot in line from the beat to the judge. Yes, there are good cops but most fake it waiting for their opportunities. Remember Abu grabe. Mai lai. Too much of that shit in all of us when it comes to piling on.

    • Roll 20 million vets down what passes for main street in that hick town. Fuck the pigs. Fuck the pig judges.

  7. Kaim needs a bullet with his name on it and so does the scumbag prosecutor who’s soft on crime.

  8. never could understand why we have armed cops in the VA clinics. Hell, the VA does a great job killing us of as it is

  9. The VA needs armed Barney Cops to justify it’s very Disruptive Behavior Committee Program…not the other way around…create a problem (fake news that Vets are dangerous threats), then the answer for that problem is hiring assholes to act as a kangaroo court, judge & jury, physical assault in a hurry.

Meanwhile, NPR this morning is talking about the workforce and how the VA has ALL KINDS of jobs available, and how the Union can attract YOUNG workers…yet, the tense was used as IF the UNION calls ALL THE SHOTS at the VA…
…suck my ass, VA. I fart in general direction of your Barney Cops.

  10. T why are you still there. Are you stuck. Can you move. I understand what you are taking about.

I think I just answered my own question. Why should I go anywhere. I as you know had a VA manager committed a class 6 felony of Criminal Libel.

The VA in Denver admitted the Disruptive Committee back in 2004, had not been run properly back 2004.

This was told to me and my wife via phone call from the Denver VA representative in May.

Mr. Gallegos, we are so sorry about what happened to you back in 2004. We found out that the Disruptive Committee back in 2004 had not been run properly.

Mr Gallegos if we could make this right, what would you like us to do to make this right.

Ok, you just admitted I was falsely accused and punished for 5 years. How about having the Denver VA Director or the Chief write me an apology letter confirming that I have never been disruptive and correct my official medical records.

Then the Denver representative feeling like, I was asking to much from the VA and stated in a smart way ” WHY should we apologize to you for something that happened before we were in charge.

I said excuse me, YOU just confirmed that I was falsely accused and punished for 5 year’s and you all, placed into my official medical records the following statement in writing that if we the Denver VA ever hear that you have been disruptive again you will have Federal charges placed upon you and will be arrested and banished from all VA care.

Then my wife said out loud, Jim you know the VA will do nothing to help YOU.

The VA representative happened to be a woman. When the representative heard my wife’s voice.

The VA representative stated I’m going to hang up. I don’t have to listen to that from that woman, she was yelling at me.

I said, she was not speaking to you. My wife was speaking to me. Then asked the representative (why), did you contact me anyway ?.

Response, (because), we HAD to. We received an inquiry from Secretary Shulkin office.

Guess what was done, even after they admitted that the employee who lied about me being disruptive on numerous occasions and telling people, to include the Denver Chief of staff, who in turn called the inspector general’s office and the FIB.

The VA states that the manager who reported me as being disruptive, did not contact the local police department telling them that I wanted to Murder employees at the clinic.

2004 to today, I have obtained over 150 page’s of evidence, which proves that the VA manager (was the one who called the local police department telling them that I wanted to Murder employees).

I also will not move away. I like you will stay put and fight on.

The VA has learned a few things, to get away with improprieties. 1. Claim that the veteran’s were disruptive (catch all excuse.

And when they get caught Red handed !

They use, under advise from council ! (VA Attorneys), I Plead the fifth.

So even after the VA in Denver admitted they falsely accused and punished me for something that never happened and admitted the Disruptive Committee back in 2004 had not been run properly.

And the Denver VA or anyone else has done nothing to the manager of the la junta Colorado clinic who they admit falsely accused and punished for something that never happened.

The VA still has in force, the following in writing in my official medical records. If we (ever), hear that you have been disruptive again you will have Federal charges placed upon you and will be arrested and banished from all VA care.

How’s that for injustice and cover up.

150 page’s of evidence. Not hearsay real evidence. The VA knows what I have and still willing to harm an innocent man or veteran.

    • The Denver VA is one of the worst in the country. They do what ever they want and couldn’t care less. If you complain to the advocate’s office, Director or Chief of Staff? Might as well leave. They use that information as a punch list to correct on your records. Once have will either change of delete medical notes, radiology reports and messages. They just don’t care. If I was younger or wasn’t sick I would take what I have and make them look like idiots. The should be arrested for the crap they do, why erase, no evidence of wrongdoing. They are garbage with no moral compass.

      • Prisoners have better health care than veterans? Well at least prisoners are protected under the eight amendment ” cruel and or unusually punishment”. I believe you when you say, Denver vA is worse than prison, but all vA’s pull the same types of stuff.

    • Not until the VA is made private and the Vets can react to who is a good medical provider and who is not, with their wallets, (paid for by Uncle Sam), then all you will ever have is a corrupt bureaucracy, with many folks working there who should have their heads squeezed, (like the “Doctor” I got fired who boasted that he had so many “connections” in D.C. that he could not be touched). VA medicine, as a bureaucracy cannot compete in quality with private medicine who must behave and perform or sit in an empty office waiting for clients/patients to ring their bell.

    • Everything about Denver sucks. The director was part of the appointment crap with Phoenix, she was in TX and could have been responsible for 60 veterans death over that shit. So sent to Florida for a bit, then Wisconsin and when cooled off, she’s at Denver. Why would anyone in their 60’s pick up their entire life and move around the entire country? She had to had roots planted in TX, children, grandchildren and friends? Something going on when that is going on, people don’t do this in their 60’s? Maybe once, but multiple? Something wrong!

I also believe that they have a new scam about appointments. I believe that radiology or other tests that show problems, although in their eyes, they play down and say everything is fine. When someone is fine there’s no follow up appointments for anything. They do in primary care, they told me overrun with appointments and doing everything they can treat all and at this pace will make mistakes.
Everyone you speak to are very confident, makes me think came from above? No one cares. Those idiots have no place there really. If someone is acting in such a manner, they should bring to the mental health ER. Clearly having trouble and professionals they should see this and easily corrected short term with meds. Once stable can talk and see what it was that threw him in the deep end. Instead give a ticket and throw on the street where he could get himself or others in trouble with eradic behavior.
Denver has also hired a PCP specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation. I believe took all the patients on opioids and put in his care. They did to get people off pain medications with him supervising. One big problem, this is his first job as a doctor, just finished residency. I told them that having a new, young doctor and putting into that kind of environment is crazy, if successful doing as management’s agenda would become something within him and carry out through his career. I said it doesn’t help anyone, not him, his next job and certainly not the patient. He would need to work within the VA system his whole career where this behavior is welcomed. He will in time hate his job and taking it out on veterans.

    • James Gallegos

Yes sir, I am stuck in the muck. Years back a guy I’ve posted about was going to set me up in a small country home on a lake to get me outta here but he passed away. He was the para-legal that fought the system till his last day on Earth, literally. His family didn’t follow through and took his web site full of info down and didn’t want anymore of the flak, negativity or attacks they were getting over the VA and state’s corrupt networks.

Too damn old, broke, and tore up to move today. I had offers by three companies years back to sell out to them but the city and zoning board refused the sales and told me I could not sell my own property and reported “didn’t want dirty kind of jobs here.” They wanted business to benefit the “white collar” positions and to fit in with local college demands suitable for high tech to business school academics/employment. Nothing dirty or un-sightly she said. Oh, after the minutes of the meetings were turned off. Then after telling me “I couldn’t fight city hall and no need to file an appeal, you’d obviously lose.” All those around me in the hood also signed petitions that they did not object to any kind of businesses to locate on my somewhat isolated city property with few neighbors around. And of course the city leaders and college crowd that always told me to move if I didn’t like living in a totally corrupt lefty college campus-like rule laughed their asses off thinking this was funny since I couldn’t have my way and to show their powers. Then tried to tell me no businesses were trying to move in here and the zoning board made no such comments during or after the meetings. Oh, and they had plenty of witnesses I had none and not recording at the time. That is how Terre Haute and Indiana rolls.

I also know of two vets who were so badly harassed by cops they committed suicide they were followed around so much. Mainly one being over a blond good looking chick that was once married to one and then became a married cops side piece. They got his drivers license taken away, went to his home minus warrants to harass. Continually arresting him then arresting him leaving a local bar on his bicycle anytime he left home. He couldn’t do anything unless some cop or rat was on his butt. Then after being set up and railroaded and facing some time he offed himself. And his family that worked for the city and fire were later canned too, businesses ruined. That too is how this city rolls. Then as I posted previously about a sister of one came out on the news claiming to be a good Christian and forgiving a cop the other guy that had committed suicide due to hard harassment.

During my years of volunteer work (and bartender) I seen my share of vets going through the legal system or drug courts being toyed with or driven to having no hope and despair. Being that game is all about money being spread around, lining pockets, judges sending them to their buddies with recovery businesses or slop shops and no true help. But today they supposedly have a special drug court for vets but I don’t know much about it and would not trust anything to do with this city nor the type of mental health workers, college kiddies, activist in high places they have here. The whole sheebang is college town centered and college lefty controlled. People are put in office and position not by merit but by their activism, lefty agendas, college wants, nepotism, corruption. They will not break their own chains or stand for anyone exposing them.

You story is kinda like mine. I didn’t give them the chance to call me in for a “disruptive charge.” The files I got shows no flagging or history of disruption or bad blood and urine screens, none. I quit any and all contact with them. I heard too many stories about the evils they can pull like putting people in the psych ward for emergency detention for arguing with them on their turf. They had already deleted my E-vet messages and saved emails. Played the bait and switch games with me, constantly lied, handed me off to countless PAs and phony phone calls, protected their “team mates,” then gas lighted the hell outta of me and played many more games. Had a VA cop accuse me of moving orange parking lot cones to get a parking space and with unsnapped weapon acted like he was going to shoot me over it and claimed had me on video doing it. I had words with the punk then told him to shoot me in the back I was going up to their office to see that video I knew was pure fantasy then move my vehicle. Office cops said there was no video I was in and took the fifty dollar parking ticket back. The cop was not seen as I marched my ass back out to leave their property. Thier bus driver that joined in the fun was also long gone after cussing and accusing me of nonsense. How the cones got moved and put all around my car is a mystery to me. Why would I go through the pain and effort to move cones then place more all around my vehicle to the point I couldn’t manuvere or drive back out around them? Back out in the parking lot… the cones and bus were gone.

They don’t give a damn about being innocent or all out for vets. They have no ethics, decency, honor, professionalism about them. None do in this state, town, media, VSOs either. All their phony investigations, silence, buck passing, excuses, inactions, etc., proves that and proves it big time.

They all and local politicians and others sure made it impossible to get proper health care here now and covered up for the VA all along. Now laws against all the corruption and covering up applies here either, none. Media, health care joints, medical boards, senators, Congressmen, state’s AG, et al, have made it clear I have no rights here and impossible to fight all the corruption and evil here. Fine, I am not shutting up.

One damn funny addition to all this is. Ya know I couldn’t put the slightest negatives about Terre Haute or Indiana on my tombstone? Like “I died in occupied Indiana,’ or I am buried face down so Terre Haute’s corrupt can kiss my ass,” or I curse this evil state and town.” It has to be positive or plain according to the rules and whims of this evil state/town. Can’t even get an edge on these bastards in death. LOL

  11. One major issues is how law enforcement, the county attorney and their office and judicial personnel are all paid from the same overall funding pools. So if a cop loses a suit it costs everyone’s pay. I think it is a massive conflict of intrest

  12. Obama said it best; *”Veterans ARE Terrorists!”* (Sarcasm intended here!)

Everyone beat me to “saying” what I was thinking!

  13. Is it fair? No Fricken way.

How many years would a Veteran be facing if they had assaulted a VA cop and did what the cop did to the Veteran? At least 8 years minimum.

With the bogus report filed by the cop what has happened to the Veterans ability to get Medical Care through the VA?

  14. Hey Elf,

Did you happen to catch the Trump / Putin news Conference?

Had to laugh at how Putin hinted at what is coming next for Mueller, William Browder, the Clintons and some former heads of U.S. intelligence.

From President Trump’s actions, statements and his stance it is clear that the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation provided him with some real intelligence and proof to back it up.

I really liked how Putin just put it out there saying that Browder transferred $400 Million strait out of Russia into the Hillary Campaign. Keep in mind that Billy Browder renounced his U.S. citizenship and claimed to be a UK and Russian citizen. That was to dodge paying taxes on the $1.5 Billion he made in Russia and transferred to the U.S.. Also noted was Putin’s simple little statement that Browder had some help from the U.S. Intelligence services to get the money out without paying taxes in Russia.

Also, got to love Trump’s statements on Imran Awan and the missing servers. No doubt the FIS provided a file on his actions in Pakistan and what Pakistani intelligence service has collected from the DNC.

Also no Doubt, that Rod Rosenstein and his Wifeey, Lisa Barsoomian, at the SEC are Sh*tting nickles right now.

    • Sorry, made a mistake, Rod Rosenstein’s Wifeey, Lisa Barsoomian, doesn’t work at the SEC. That is Strzok’s wifeey, Melissa Hodgman, that works at the USSEC. Rod Rosenstein’s wifeey, Lisa Barsoomian, works under Rod Rosenstein at the department of Justice as an attorney fighting release of Information act request.

But I am sure they are all sh*tting nickles right now.

      • I loved it when both President’s Trump and Putin put the boot to Hillary and the DNC!
I gotta sneaky suspicion there’s gonna be a lot of people shitting bricks back in both countries!
Did you see where “Pedo-Podesta” went (voice only) on CNN and slapped the American People in the face over the Trump/Putin Summit?
        So did Cooper and Brennan!
        Assholes, all of them!

  15. It doesn’t seem that MSM is rushing to be the story breaker on the results of this case. Also, there is a lot of clarifying info that is missing in the linked story that would have helped everyone reading this.

Below are three stories from January 2018 that might fill in some of the missing details. It is interesting to note that the FBI was involved and that this case was heard in the Indiana Southern District FEDERAL Court and that means a federal imprisonment, which always seems to be a lighter term than state or county.

Former VA police officer indicted after assaulting patient and falsifying report
If convicted, Michael Kaim faces up to 10 years in federal prison on the civil rights charge and up to 20 years on the obstruction of justice charge.
    Andrew Emett / NationofChange / News Report – January 22, 2018

Indicted for civil rights violation and obstruction of justice, a former police officer with the Veterans Affairs Medical Center Police Department in Indianapolis has been accused of beating a compliant patient outside of a VA hospital. After the assault, Officer Michael Kaim allegedly wrote a false report in order to justify his use of excessive force on the innocent patient.
While escorting a patient out of the Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Affairs Medical Center on April 18, 2017, Kaim repeatedly struck the victim’s head and face without legal justification. After causing “bodily injury” to the patient, Kaim allegedly wrote an incident report falsely accusing the unidentified victim of acting aggressively, refusing to comply with the officer’s orders to leave the building, and resisting his attempts to escort him from the facility.

But according to the indictment “https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/former-department-veterans-affairs-police-officer-indicted-civil-rights-violation-and”, the patient “was following the defendant’s orders and exiting the Veterans Affairs Medical facility when the defendant used illegal and unjustifiable force against him.” Instead of resisting, the victim had been complying with Kaim’s orders when he was suddenly attacked without provocation.
Shortly after Kaim’s indictment was announced, the medical center issued the following statement: “The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center works to uphold the highest traditions of human respect and law abiding behavior. It is extremely distressing that one of our former police officers has been indicted for illegal conduct. The bright light for our Veterans and staff is that it was our own internal investigation that resulted in this individual being discharged from VA employment and subsequently indicted in Federal Court. The individual named has not been convicted of any crime, and we do respect his right to due process. He is no longer an employee of the VA.

“We want to assure Veterans in need of Medical care that they will be treated with the honor and respect they deserve. We do not tolerate any disrespectful or illegal behavior by any member of our staff. We stand ready to serve Veterans and hold every employee to the highest standards of lawful and respectful behavior.”
If convicted, Kaim faces up to 10 years in federal prison on the civil rights charge and up to 20 years on the obstruction of justice charge.

Former Department of Veterans Affairs Police Officer Indicted for Civil Rights Violation and Obstruction of Justice
A former police officer with the Veterans Affairs Medical Center Police Department in Indianapolis, Indiana, has been indicted on federal civil rights and obstruction charges, announced Acting Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division John Gore, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana Josh J. Minkler, and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Special Agent in Charge of the Indianapolis Division W. Jay Abbott.
The indictment charges that on April 18, 2017, Michael Kaim, 27, assaulted a patient whom he was in the process of arresting outside of the Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Affairs Medical Center. As a result of the assault, the patient sustained bodily injury. The indictment also charges the defendant with obstructing justice by writing a false report about the arrest.

The civil rights charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years, and the obstruction of justice charge carries a maximum penalty of up to 20 years.
This case was investigated by the FBI and is being prosecuted by Trial Attorney Anita T. Channapati of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division with assistance from the United States Attorney’s Office in Indianapolis.
An indictment is a formal accusation of criminal conduct, not evidence of guilt. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

Former Veteran Affairs police officer accused of assaulting patient during arrest outside Indy medical center
    Posted 11:27 AM, January 19, 2018, by FOX59 Web, Updated at 05:30PM, January 19, 2018

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A former police officer with the Veterans Affairs Medical Center Police Department faces a federal indictment on civil rights and obstruction charges.
The indictment stems from an April 18, 2017, incident at Roudebush Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Federal prosecutors said Michael Kaim, 27, assaulted a patient as he was arresting him outside the facility. The patient was injured during the incident, leading to the civil rights charge. Investigators said Kaim then wrote a false report about the arrest, resulting in the obstruction charge.
The indictment alleges that Kaim repeatedly struck the victim, whose name is redacted in the document, in the “face and head without legal justification.” The offense resulted in “bodily injury.”

Kaim “willfully deprived” the victim of the “right, secured and protected by the Constitution and laws of the United States, to be free from unreasonable seizure by one acting under the color of law, which includes the right to be free from the use of unreasonable force by a law enforcement officer,” the indictment said.
As for the obstruction charge, the indictment alleged that Kaim wrote in his incident report that the victim refused to comply with orders to leave the facility and resisted Kaim’s efforts to escort him from the building. He also said the victim acted aggressively toward him during the arrest.

“In truth and in fact, as the defendant then well knew,” the indictment said, the victim “was following the defendant’s orders and exiting the Veterans Affairs Medical facility when the defendant used illegal and unjustifiable force against him.”
The FBI investigated the case, which is being prosecuted by the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Indianapolis is assisting in the case.

The center issued the following statement:
“The Richard L.

  16. Was there a FOIA filed with the Indianapolis VA Hospital for their ‘internal investigation’ mentioned in the January news article?

FTA: “The bright light for our Veterans and staff is that it was our own internal investigation that resulted in this individual being discharged from VA employment and subsequently indicted in Federal Court.”

It would seem that this internal investigation would have some details missing from the articles.
