Ashley Madison

Benjamin KrauseThe recent hacking of the cheater website Ashley Madison shows VA employs the most cheaters out of the entire federal government using the va.gov work email to solicit hookups behind the backs of their spouses.

The tagline for Ashley Madison is, “Life is short. Have an affair.”

So while VA is engaging in “delay, deny, hope they die” blocking and tackling, they meanwhile are living up to the Ashley Madison tagline… since life is short.

The backstory is the hacker group, called Impact Team, threatened Ashley Madison. They threatened to reveal customer details if the website did not shut down. The hacker group previously revealed Ashley Madison was not deleting customer data despite claims it would do so. It did not shut down, so Impact Team released the data.

And now we know a lot of VA employees are cheaters who use Ashley Madison… I wonder how many of them used AshleyMadison.com to set up affairs while at work?

The company owning Ashley Madison apparently thought it would all the bluff, which turned out to be no bluff at all. Now America knows its taxpayer dollars are helping VA employees cheat on their spouses using work emails.

If nothing else, this may be a sign that hostile work environments like the Department of Veterans Affairs drives spouses to cheat like no other agency. This article clearly falls in the “useless but amusing” news category.

While I do not endorse unlawful hacking, I find the results, in this instance, to be quite amusing.

Anyone have a similar story to tell?

  1. My concern is essentially anyone who knows your address can sign you up and make a fake profile, especially someone that has a grudge. Or when someone signs up they can use your email to hide their identity. What I have read says there is no email verification.

So it is plausible, and who would know for sure, that I am angry at a doctor or someone with the VA and I sign them up. You can get photos of strangers on line and then set up a fake account with the hope of causing someone trouble.

The whole website is stupid and those real people on it are without morals.

    • Except you have to have a credit card for this one, and it isn’t cheap from what they put out. So you really have to go through a lot to want to spend your own money to sign people up for revenge. I also assume that if caught you have a reasonable explanation if the credit card filled doesn’t match your name or address. Not that it can’t happen though.

  2. What ever did happen to morals, ethics or professionalism at the workplace while working as as a civil servant whether it was state or federal?
There was a time when one could get fired for not acting as a professional and weren’t there moral and ethic clauses too? This is at the disabled vet and tax payers expense. If these civil servants don’t care about themselves then how can they care about anybody else?.We don’t need alley cat mentality in any of our government agencies.

  3. I do believe we are going to hear lots more about this.
Think about it, the mainstream news media, magizines, newspapers and government officials believe the American public wants to know more about “scandalous, immoral, incestuous individuals” than they do the veterans administration spending their hard earned taxdollars and screwing over veterans! But, maybe this could tie the two together!

    • You are probably correct on this, CrazyElf. However, as all things go, all it will take for the American Public to quickly forget about VA Employees on that list is for some reality TV show person or any one of the damn Kardashians to show-up on that Ashley Madison List, and all the attention will go there.

I am surprised that the Secret Service was not #1 on that list because under THIS President, the Secret Service has gone total ghetto.

Today’s article just places exclamation marks on the ethics found at and with the VA…it is so thick that it permeates to the core and the employee’s personal lives.

This also shows that the VA is FULL of civilians that would willfully ignore you standing there waiting for appointment to be scheduled, having to wait because the VA employee sitting there with 4 inch nails trying to send her next text is more important and then you have to endure trying to watch this same VA employee TYPE your appointment painfully, with those same 4 inch fingernails…I saw this SAME behavior in the -3- years I needed to use Public Assistance whilst making my SSDI and VA Claim, and EVERY employee, whether it be at County Job & Family Services (Food Stamps), County Housing Authority, et al, EACH and EVERY ONE of those employees would easily fit right in at the VA…it’s almost like they grow these employees like cattle someplace.
What I am trying to say is I witnessed this exact lackadaisical work ethos in these Programs as you find at VA and was very discouraging because you ALWAYS had to check-up and follow-up to ensure that employee actually DID what they were supposed to do.
This is my favorite example of greed and carefree ethics: On one occasion while going to one of my 6 month re-evaluations/certifications during those -3- years, this Gov’t. Employee had a WHOLE FROZEN TURKEY sitting on the floor beside her desk, along with a bunch of other food hand-outs that were *supposed* to be for people such as I was in at that time. This was a week before Thanksgiving and silly assuming me, I thought that perhaps they were giving these things to people as they had appointments, so I asked.
Guess what? She told me, “No, THOSE ARE MINE”!!! So, here’s a gov’t employee making at least TWICE what a Veteran rated at 100% P&T in take home pay, stealing food items that were intended for people like me at the time that did NOT have the means to even eat a turkey pot pie let alone a real turkey on holiday…same with the VA Vulture Culture…it took that same employee at least 4 times me addressing when I no longer NEEDED such assistance to get OUT and OFF it, over a 6 month period of time because she ignored a close to 3 foot high stack of files on her desk…amongst the food wrappers, and crumbs, but her 4 inch long painted and crystal-adorned nails were spotless…she finally told me in-person this: “We are NOT used to people like you being HONEST and wanting OFF these programs when you no longer qualify for them”!!! WTF?!
Those -3- years were a cultural shock education for me, along with being near death’s door as well. That’s where I learned that MANY people USE the system as a “lifestyle choice”, much how some people actually view PRISON as a NICE PLACE and OPTION for 3x meals and a bed….the VA is no different.

The civilians have run the VA Ship Aground.

      • namnibor, Google the “White House and Ashley Madison”.
Seems Obama, or someone there, ain’t above having an affair either lol

      • Hey namnibor, somewhere I, and my wife, read where the State of Virginia had to speak up on their many news stations and say that the (Ashley Madison) email addresses of “va.gov” wasn’t them.
Seems some people out there were confused. So, like I say, this ain’t going away anytime soon!!!!

      • namnibor, there are even more names out now. It was just on cbs world news again tonight at 6:30 pm.
Like I said, this ain’t gonna be a fly by night expose. It’s gonna be in the news for days, possibly weeks. It just depends on WHO the unfaithful are.

  4. The VA is full of scumbags. They shouldn’t be called Veteran Affairs because they don’t give a damn about veterans, their mission is to make our life a living hell. They recently robbed me of my disability benefits. I am a gulf war era veteran who entered the military in excellent health. In 1988, I received surgery for the removal of a tumor, my health declined immediately. I was plagued with illnesses to include depression.

When I left the military in 1991, I fell into a deep, deep depression. I couldn’t leave the house, was unemployed for over 2 years and later homeless. In 2003, I found myself on the mental ward of the VA Hospital, diagnosed with severe depression, major. I was at this time placed on depression medication. I applied for disability for depression and was awarded 70% non service connected.

In 2007, I was awarded 30% for tumor removal, stomach and back pain. I decided to apply for service connected depression and they fought me all the way. In 2013, I was sent to the Board of Veteran Appeals and it was remanded for additional evidence.

They were asked to send me to a psychiatrist but instead sent me to a clinical psychologist and she denied service connection but said I was 70%. The Board remanded it back again in April 2015 because of they didn’t send me to psychiatrist and they hid my doctors letter from the Board of Veteran Appeals but I mailed a copy to the BVA. They were told that they had to use my doctors letter.

In August 2015, I was awarded service connection for depression, 30% from 2007-2014 and 70% from 2014-2015. How they calculated the percentage is beyond me. I was due 3000 dollars but they took it and applied it to my debt. I received 80 dollars after all the years of waiting. It seems that they want to push you over the edge, it is so hard. I needed that $3000 to pay my bills. Their actions has left me in a dire situation.

    • It proves why they are called “Affairs”, not taking care of our “Affairs” and having them as well. Insane! The Gulf War era vets got screwed! We supported flagging operations in the gulf when Iran and IRAq were busting up each others turbans. Plenty of chemical warfare all in the Gulf , including Sarin, mustard gas and so on The operations in the Shatt-Al-Arab waterways and near Farsi Island were the worse. Those people who doing this to vets are going to face a horrible time whenit is t6heir turn to be a patient. If they don’t straighten out the quality of care, they are going to be the subjects of it!

      • Yes, you are on target. I found out that the VA doctor who raped, stalked and exploited me claimed that he was justified, because his wife suffered from Lupus. To him, taking what he wasn’t entitled to apparently really, in his flipped-out head, seemed like an affair.

      • I wonder just how many VA employees used their own email address instead of “va dot gov”?
That “list” just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
Some VA employees aren’t stupid. That’s why I’m betting there are lots more on it!

    • Betty, I want to offer you as much support as I possibly can. I have a terribly bitter taste in my mouth about a VA reduction in my rating in 2009. I got it all back, they were wrong, but it completely destroyed me financially, it will take me decades to get past it. They had to cough up every penny they pulled from my benefits… was nearly $800 a month difference. If talking to me would help, please take me up on the offer. Julia

  5. 312,814 total employees of which 104 were on Ashleigh Madison as compared to the 6000 Army employees. To be clear, that is 0.000332%, Ben. You really want to draw the sweeping conclusion that VA employees are screwing around at work?

    • There’s actually some confusion between people that are gov’t employees FOR the State of Virginia (va.gov) and the VA dot gov as a whole…plus, whether it be 106 or 106,000…does the lessor number MAKE IT RIGHT or LESS of an issue? No…see, ethics are a thing that DOES NOT possess a “gray area”, it’s either ethical person or an unethical person. Kind of like how the stern UCMJ assured to keep collective order within the Branches of Military and those that strayed were castrated and sent off to civilian life…that’s what the VA needs…some balls…and the castration of ignorance.

      • I can see a bunch of “article 15’s” coming about. That’s the minimum that will be done. As far as VA, military, federal employees, etc.,etc.,etc.,
I also wonder how many divorces will be taking place?
Oh, and on world news tonight, the law suits against Ashley Madison has begun in ernest. There are tens of millions of dollars at stake here!
That’s why I say, this ain’t going away soon!!!!

Off subject, tonight on world news cbs, at 6:35 pm.
A lone gunman, 68 years old, went into the New York City Federal Bldg, opened fire, killed a security guard. Then turned the gun on himself. The news reporter said this building housed a VA Medical facility amoung other things. Don’t know what his motive was, guess we’ll have to wait on that!

    • Merr, where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Pair this info with the rest of the shit the VA is constantly caught at, from telling vets to “off themselvles”, upper VA managers making little videos of vets hanging themselves, having mandatory seance’ meetings that VA staff pay to get into, bilions of dollars of graft overruns on a still unfinished VA hospital, Disruptive Behavior Committee Secret Lists used for retaliation against valid vets’ complaints. Let’s not forget the secret waiting lists that they still use and manipulate even worse than they originally did. Please go back to your desk job there at the VA. This is a site for damaged vets, not a venue of defense for the VA’s endless dog and pony show. Just fuck off! Brown nosing smart ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kiss ass on a site that represents your veteran hating, veteran harming shithead agenda. Now reply back and tell us about your sacrifices as a veteran. Slight chance you are a vet, you are a fucking traitor. One way or another, you are a ass kissing anti-American traitor from hell. Fuck offffffffffff!!!! Go somewhere else. Vets here need help, not your shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fucker!

      • Hey brother, calm down please. That idiot probably doesn’t realize, there’s more to this “Cheating Scandal” than meets the eye. For example, the number of Cheaters ain’t all the way in yet. I’ll bet VA employees are a hell of a lot more than 104. I’ll bet they used their own email to register. Like the news articles have been saying, it ain’t over yet.
Did you hear that the total law suits against Ashley Madison are over the $570 MILLION mark as of last night (21 Aug. 2015). And it’s expected to go a hell of a lot higher!!!
And I don’t feel pity for anyone of those pricks. Just like this asshole who tried to downplay the percentage….

      • Bruce, go to —
        “VAislying”
There’s a new story about a VA employee who changed “routing numbers” on veterans checks over to his girlfriend’s bank account. Gotta figure this is just one more fuck up by VA employees. If he figured out how to do it, bet there are more out there stealing from veterans….

  7. Hey, y’all I want you to Google the following,

“Not Many People know This About Trump’s Sister, But They Should”

I was blown away when I read the article. I’m not gonna spoil it for you. Y’all
Probably will just shit your pants, as the old saying goes, when you read what positions she holds.
Then you’ll understand how Trump fairs so well in business AND politics!!!!
Now, after y’all read it, y’all will to!!!!!!!!

  8. Hey folks, here’s another story I found on “VAislying” that came from the
    “St. Louis Post-Dispatch”,
    The title is;
“Feds: Veterans Affairs employee stole veterans’ benefits”
    by, Robert Patrick
    August 22, 2015 6:00 am

“Terrence Starks, 37, of Bunker Hill, Ill, was indicted for wire fraud and aggravated identity theft, the U.S. Attorney’s office said.”

The article also said he “…was a former employee” and “…he changed the routing number and account number over to his girlfriend’s checking account.”
I don’t think this story will end here. Because there’s no further info in it really.

Question to all, Has anyone here experience not receiving monies due from VA?
I myself have had an experience where I didn’t receive travel pay twice. I go to the VA in Orlando (for specialty care) and (only) twice used that computer to “sign out and to get travel pay”. Both times I never received it. Thereby causing me to never use it for a third time! You know, that “Fool me once” old saying!
This article has me wondering if my travel pay went into someone else’s account!?

  9. Tonight on WKMG-Channel 6 news at 6:30 pm. Looks like Jeff Ashton, State Attorney, was using Ashley Madison. He said, “no laws were broken.” And he “was sorry!”
For those of you who are not familiar with that name. He was the “head prosecutor on the Casey Anthony case”! You know the guy that lost!!!!
He said it “was poor judgment on [his] part!” And that he “used his personal laptop, and not the states computers!”

    ◀◀◀◀◀◀◀◀◀◀◀◀◀◀

    ::::::::Breaking news:::::::::
Tomorrow at 11:00pm on WKMG, Channel 6 (cbs) news will be airing a story concerning those “free phones” that were given out by VA! Seems they weren’t “free” after all. They cost the taxpayers millions of $$$$$$$$$$$. The “short clip” says “they left millions of veterans disconnected!”
As soon as it airs tomorrow night, and is posted online, I will put it on here….
For those of you who want to look it up yourself, here is the phone number,
    (407)-291-6000
    Address is,,,
    4466 John Young Parkway
    Orlando, Florida

    • Looks like the ‘title’ of tomorrow nights WKMG story will be;

      “Veterans Scammed at Your Expense”
